I think there were many better solutions, but overall better than .05 percent of the player base having it.
I had planned a stream where I was going to have devs come on and queue 4s with me. Would have been a fun time for everyone that was dev boost hunting.
We tried something new with Dev Boost, and it led to a poor match experience and was hard for the global community to participate in. We want this to be a fun reward that anyone can earn, so Dev Boost is now a Free Tier 99 reward in the Season 24 Rocket Pass.
Dev Boost is no longer granted by winning with or against a developer.

I feel like there could have been a middle ground here. I liked the rarity and the idea of "chasing" after the boost, but it was TOO rare. like less than 1% would have had it. Maybe an infection mode type of thing would have been cool instead.
