Thanks so much for all the prayers and nice messages over the past two weeks. Theoretically, I'm supposed to be released from the hospital tomorrow early enough to catch an afternoon flight home to Vegas. My diet will be restricted for a while to give my digestive system some time to heal but otherwise I'm good as new. I even lost a few pounds because I was out of it on eating for 2 weeks. You probably won't see me on Vegas Matt videos for a few more days but I'll be back very soon!

Yeah they banned me too. Never mind that I lost more than $20k on my last trip there. It's too bad. I had enjoyed going there! But the good news is that there are a lot of great options in Vegas.

I was in a pretty scary situation on August 13th. I got off the cruise ship prior to its departure because I had stomach pain that remained absolutely unbearable no matter how much pain medication the Doctor gave me. What was supposed to be a 15 minute emergency surgery to fix a twisted bowel turned into a 4+ hour surgery with complications before I was transferred into the ICU. For a few hours during the surgery, it was not obvious that the tissue in my digestive system was still alive and capable of functioning. However, by some combination of excellent medical personnel and divine mercy it appears that I am, basically, totally fine at this point and should have no long term problems from this. I expect to be released from the hospital in late next week and playing video poker in Vegas a few hours later. I've received so many messages of support from people like this. It means the world to me that so many people take the time to write me. I don't know that it's scientifically sound, but I believe that things like support, care, and love can make us heal faster. From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate you all so much. I can't wait to get back to our Very Important Work of playing slot machines. #HealYeahBro ❤️

I've enjoyed this podcast about gambling since episode 1. It's aimed at recreational gamblers but also occasionally educational about gambling. The vibe is fun and a little silly, it always makes me smile. I'm fond of this episode because they played a voicemail from me!
