In Far Journeys, Monroe described Earth as being surrounded by invisible "bands" or resonant layers of consciousness. According to him, these aren't symbolic realms. They're structured informational environments where consciousness naturally clusters according to frequency, belief systems, psychological state, and energetic resonance after physical death. The first layers, he wrote, are filled with minds still locked into physical reality. Some don't even realize they're dead. Others continue replaying routines, habits, addictions, and unfinished identities, unable to perceive anything beyond the reality they expect. A self-organizing field where billions of consciousnesses reportedly generate shared realities entirely from expectation.
