Creators of Redoc & a whole suite of #API design and documentation tools for API producers and consumers. With Redocly, you can make API docs your superpower 💪
Realm 0.137.0 is out 🚀
• A setup page for your MCP server
• A public MCP endpoint for mixed-access docs
• Accordion tags
• API search that reaches every field
Same release for Reef, Revel, and Redoc. Highlights 🧵
Is yes the same as true in YAML?
In YAML 1.1, yes. In YAML 1.2, it's just the text "yes".
Redocly CLI now catches this in AsyncAPI files: it checks the settings for message brokers like Amazon SQS and SNS, Google Pub/Sub, IBM MQ, and Pulsar.
Half your docs are public, half sit behind login. Which MCP endpoint should an AI tool use?
Realm 0.137.0 serves both:
/mcp → login, full RBAC
/mcp-public → no login, only what anonymous visitors can read
Turning it on takes one line 👇
Clients that call /mcp without a token get a 401 pointing them to /mcp-public, and the two setup pages link to each other.
Before you enable it, check what your RBAC rules give the anonymous team: redocly.com/docs/realm/custo…
Your API, as a command-line tool.
"redocly generate-client --generator cli" turns an OpenAPI description into a CLI: every operationId becomes a command, query parameters become typed flags, and "--dry-run" prints the request without sending it.
Here's our Cafe API 👇
generate-client is experimental. Other generators cover TypeScript, Python, Go, and PHP SDKs, plus Zod, TanStack Query, SWR, and MSW mocks.

New Markdoc for writers:
• accordion and accordion-group fold FAQs and edge cases under a title
• card gets badges, CTAs, and link icons
• admonition gets a new type: idea
API docs search now indexes every parameter, schema field, description heading, and AsyncAPI message.
Search for a field name and the result takes you straight to that field.

Weekend metrics are in - and looking even better than expected! 📈
Early access is now live for users who opted in. Global rollout is set for ~30 days out to align with our sub-processor policies.
We just shipped @typesafeai's Jev to prod as our AI Assistant's reranker.
(it's under feature flag only for selected customers still)
The early numbers are promising:
⚡ 3.3× faster (390 ms vs 1.29 s p50)
📉 slowest call 0.5 s vs 3.1 s
💸 55% cheaper
✅ 0 errors
If numbers hold over the weekend we'll turn it on for everyone next week!
Not only Mermaid - Redocly supports PlantUML and Excalidraw out of the box. 🛠️🎨
Write your diagram code inline and let us handle the rendering - keeping your architecture docs clean, dynamic, and easy to maintain.

Code mode is enabled for all organizations using Redocly's MCP server.
✅ Up to 90% fewer tool calls
✅ 50–90% input token savings
✅ Up to 5x cheaper with the same (or better!) accuracy

A year later, AI agents still aren't reading your /llms.txt file. Audit tools love it, but actual LLMs ignore it.
If you want coding agents to actually use your docs, ditch the root file hype and focus on clean Markdown and MCP.

We had a ~1 hour hackathon at a Redocly meetup at a castle in Poland. Why 1-hour? We wanted another hour to give everyone a chance to present their results from 1-hour.
I was astonished. The team came up with and implemented incredible ideas. I loved seeing the creativity. Several could be production ready in under a day or two. On the other side, I only made a mockup in that hour. But I had a deep discussion about our Shape Up 2.0 evolution. Are we ready for 1 hour cycles? Not yet. But it's not as far off as people may think.
