A very impactful cleanup with Gateway High School students this morning, who came out to clean the neighborhood around their school in Western Addition, as part of their schoolwide service day.
They filled multiple bags of trash and left the parks, sidewalks, and streets clean.

Can’t ask for any better weather for a beach cleanup.
Back out here at Ocean Beach with the 7th grade class from Burke’s School who fanned out to pick the beach clean, taking note of the different types of litter that’s polluting the environment.

Another big impact made by the team from Trinity Life Sciences who came out to Ocean Beach for a 2nd year in a row.
They spread out along the beach and boardwalk picking up a lot of plastic microliter - easy to skip by unless you’re looking to remove it from the environment.

We organized 33 citywide cleanups in San Francisco this past weekend, with over 500 volunteers coming out to clear 540+ bags of trash.
It just happened to be the 42nd Annual Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday and SF showed up to protect the environment as a coastal city.

We got a head start on California Coastal Cleanup Day tomorrow thanks to the teams from @Riveron__ and Accordion who came out this morning to clean up Ocean Beach.
They filled a dozen bags of trash, but much more to do, so hope to see many volunteers at cleanups this weekend!

It’s the little things.
We’ve cleaning the medians along Geary in the Inner Richmond to see what it takes to keep them clean, and surprisingly, it doesn’t take much other than consistency.
Been doing some extra by cleaning the crosswalk of leaves, weeds, & dirt.

Cheers to the @campari for organizing a beach cleanup with us for their Campari Day of Service yesterday!
They gathered volunteers from their industry contacts in hospitality and food & beverage to come out. A great effort with several people filling 3 full bags of litter each.

It's always a good time to keep SF clean, but the amazing weather over the past weekend didn't hurt, and we had a tremendous turnout (even for our high standards) with over 600 volunteers cleaning 630+ bags of trash from our local environment.

Pocket Garden(ing) in Laurel Village this morning.
More volunteers than needed came out to plant the end cap at Mayfair and Laurel, a spot that had been overgrown and trashed for years before the local community came out to care for it.

In honor of 9/11, a National Day of Service and Remembrance, and coinciding with Transit Month, we organized a cleanup along the 1 California Muni Route. Along the 5.5-mile and 5-hour journey, dozens of volunteers joined us along the way and removed 40+ trash bags of litter.

Each year the new cohort of 6th graders take their turn keeping the neighborhood around their school in the Western Addition clean, including Jefferson Square Park, which has been totally transformed.

While some others rest this Labor Day Weekend, there's no letup in our efforts to keep San Francisco clean with 26 cleanups citywide attended by 420 total volunteers that picked up 450+ bags worth of litter.

First Friday = Morning Coffee Cleanup (Inner Richmond) sponsored by 70 year old Cinderella Bakery.
A bakers dozen of volunteers cleared 16 trash bags from the neighborhood.
Cinderella is sponsoring another monthly cleanup at their new location in the Mission starting October.
