“We already have this. Why is he building another one?”
That mindset is one of the reasons many people never build anything.
Your father wasn’t the first person to build a house in your village.
So why didn’t he move into someone else’s house?
Why build another one?
Because the world doesn’t need only ONE house.
The same applies to business, technology, crypto, churches, products, platforms and ideas.
Someone building something similar to yours doesn’t automatically mean they copied you.
Sometimes, they simply saw the same problem and decided to solve it too.
The world is BIG.
There is room for your idea.
There is room for my idea.
There is room for better ideas.
Biri kam biri.
You build yours.
I build mine.
When yours has a problem, maybe mine can help.
When mine has a problem, maybe yours can help.
That’s how ecosystems grow.
Stop spending your energy asking:
“Who copied who?”
Start asking:
“What value are we creating?”
Build. Improve. Innovate. Collaborate.
No envy.
No unnecessary rivalry.
JUST BUILD.
I remember when @PhtEmmanuelO was building the GiantWallet and someone or some persons, out of ignorance, over zealousness and misplaced enthusiasm, asked why he was building another wallet when we could all simply come together and support an existing one.
I strongly disagreed with that thinking then, and I still do today.
What they didn't understand at the time was that @xendfinance had already existed for over 7 years before The Giant Wallet was being built.
Yet nobody from the Xend community was saying, “Why build another wallet? Everyone should just support Xend.”
And that is exactly the mindset we need to change.
Africa doesn't need fewer Web3 projects. We need stronger structures.
We need our own blockchains, we already have @rwaassetchain, CEXs, DEXs, wallets, launchpads, payment infrastructure, developer platforms and other critical layers of the ecosystem.
The more credible structures we build, the stronger our ecosystem becomes.
Look at what is happening between @Bybit_Official and @bitget. When one faced a crisis, the other stepped up. We have seen that support go both ways.
That is what a mature ecosystem should look like.
The Asian Web3 ecosystem understood this early. They didn't try to build everything around one company. They built multiple strong players across different parts of the industry, and many of those companies are now among the forces shaping the global Web3 market.
This is the mindset I want to see more of in Africa.
We have to stop seeing every new project as competition.
Another African wallet doesn't make an existing wallet irrelevant.
Another blockchain doesn't invalidate the one that came before it.
Another exchange doesn't mean we must abandon the others.
Sometimes, building another strong structure is simply another piece of the ecosystem we are trying to create.
But structures alone are not enough.
We also need an intentional community.
A community that understands that Web3 is bigger than chasing the next token, farming the next airdrop or looking for overnight wealth.
We need people willing to learn, build, collaborate, support projects and stay through the difficult stages of development.
With an intentional community, we can identify promising African projects, support them with users, ideas, talent, liquidity and visibility, and help them scale beyond our borders.
The goal shouldn't just be to participate in the global Web3 ecosystem. We should be building structures capable of competing globally.
Yes, it will be a long ride.
But I am ready for the journey.
And I believe YOU 🫵 should be ready too.

Prophetic people edify, comfort, and exhort while Prophets are called to root out, pull down, destroy, throw down, build, and plant.
Prophetic people have the beautiful responsibility of uplifting the Body while God’s prophets have the beautiful responsibility of tearing down demonic systems and rebuilding on the solid foundations of Christ.
Stop mixing the 2 so that both can do their job effectively without being compared, and ultimately villainized by the very Body they’re called to protect.
