It’s a respected poll but I don’t believe 66% Raman to 4% Bass with younger voters. Not in real world. Private polling is more like Raman 40, Bass 37… but no doubt Raman has now moved into a (narrow) lead.

Looking ahead to November, I am proudly endorsing Richard Barrera for SPI. Richard is qualified, shares my values, and has spent his career fighting for public education. He is the candidate who will stand up to and defeat the dangerous, extremist ideology of Sonja Shaw. The stakes in November could not be higher, and I will work hard to make sure Richard has the support he needs to win.

I urge the Governor and legislative leaders to heed education advocates and provide the resources our children need for a world-class education.
This crisis also underscores California's need for greater independence from federal funding. We must create a fairer revenue system where wealthy individuals and corporations pay their fair share. That's why I strongly support extending Prop 30/Prop 55 taxes on high earners and reforming Prop 13 to close the corporate property tax loophole while continuing to protect California families and small businesses.
