Glad Rep. Tiffany is OK, and grateful to the pilot and first responders for a job well done.
I’m grateful to God that Congressman Tiffany and no one else was hurt in this horrifying incident, which could have been a tragedy if not for the heroism of the pilot.
I wish them and the Congressman a quick recovery and that they can find solace with their loved ones.

Today we mourn the lives lost tragically in this attack, and those lost after. We must never forget the first responders, servicemen, and civilians that sacrificed their safety to help another. Bravery and resilience carried our nation through this day, and it carries us forward.

This week, we had two productive hearings for the AI in Healthcare Study Committee. We must remain thoughtful in our approaches to technological advancement. It was great to get back in the hearing room and work bipartisanly through this important policy issue.

Today, we honor all of the dedicated workers who keep Wisconsin moving forward. We must continue the fight for strong unions, livable wages, and comprehensive workers protections as a way to honor the folks who show up day in and day out. Wishing everyone a Happy Labor Day!

This month is National Suicide Prevention Month. I hope it serves as a reminder not to struggle alone, to check in with loved ones, and to honor those we’ve lost to mental illness. This session, I co-sponsored legislation to strengthen mental health resources statewide.

The Child Care Bridge Payment program ended in June without a long-term replacement. This leaves parents, a significant part of our Wisconsin workforce, without support. I will fight next session to ensure Wisconsinites can access quality child care that doesn’t break the bank.

The right to vote is a core tenet of our democracy. On this day we commemorate the adoption of the Nineteenth Amendment to secure voting rights for women across our country. Today we celebrate the progress we’ve made toward equality and recognize the work that is unfinished.

I’m honored to have been recognized as a Conservation Champion with a 100% on the Wisconsin Conservation Voters Scorecard. WCV does important work around our state and is a strong partner in efforts to preserve our environment. I look forward to continuing this work next session!

This week, I attended the 2026 National Conference of State Legislatures. Each year this conference brings legislators and staff together from all 50 states learn how we can legislate better. I look forward to bringing fresh ideas into the next legislative session!

I had the pleasure of touring Home Instead last week to learn more about their work providing over 30,000 hours of community-based care to patients in Dane County. Thank you to all of the staff who make it possible to deliver dignified services to our vulnerable neighbors!
