Today, on National Overdose Awareness Day, we remember the lives lost to overdose and stand with the families and communities who continue to feel its devastating impact.
West Virginia knows the challenges of addiction and substance abuse all too well. But we also know that recovery is possible, and that there are resources and people ready to help.
From expanding access to treatment and recovery services to supporting prevention and strengthening our communities, there are real solutions to this crisis. As we continue working in Washington to support West Virginians, I encourage anyone struggling with substance use, or anyone who knows someone who is, to reach out and take advantage of the resources available.
You are not alone, and help is available.
