My Defense Fellow, Fady Antoon, met with the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, or TAPS, to discuss how Congress can better support the families of fallen servicemembers and veterans. Since 1994, TAPS has helped military families through peer support, casework assistance, survivor seminars, and programs for children, all at no cost to families. We discussed survivor benefits, casualty assistance, and support for families grieving a death by suicide. When a servicemember dies, our responsibility to their family does not end. I will continue working to make sure military and veteran families have access to the benefits, services, and support they have earned. If you or someone you know has lost a military loved one, TAPS is available 24/7 at 800-959-TAPS (8277).

You take money from a foreign government that pressured Trump into the Iran war. Many American soldiers are dead or wounded because of it. You have blood on your hands.

Lesson learned!
🚨 Macgregor: The Strategic Reality of the Iran War Washington May Be Missing Col. Doug Macgregor (@DougAMacgregor) challenges prevailing assumptions about the Iran war, arguing that for Tehran, "this for them is an existential question" and that economic and political pressure isn't ever going to force them to capitulate: "they've got to fight." He warns that Americans have been disconnected from the consequences because up to this point, because "what's happening over there (hasn't had) much impact here"... yet rising energy costs, food pressures, and supply chain disruptions are now changing that dynamic. Once Americans become painfully aware of the cost this is having on them personally, their motivations to end the war will grow. Macgregor points to the BRICS summit and shifting global alliances, arguing that nations are building alternatives to the U.S.-led financial order. His stark conclusion: "the game's up, it's over" and "everyone is sick of us" as American leverage faces growing challenges. 🎯 A provocative assessment of U.S. strategy, the Middle East conflict, Iran, and the evolving global balance of power.
