I represent Colorado’s Third District, and I will always put our communities first. When I took office, I swore an oath to the Constitution and to the people I serve. Every vote I cast is guided by what is best for this district and the long-term strength of our country. Leadership requires independent judgment and the willingness to stand on principle. For 40 years, Grand Junction’s Business Incubator Center has helped Western Colorado entrepreneurs turn ideas into businesses and create jobs right here at home. This week, I joined BIC CEO Dalida Bollig and USDA Rural Development Colorado State Director Sallie Clark to announce nearly $700,000 for rural small businesses, including a new microloan program serving five Western Slope counties. I was also glad to recognize BIC’s 40 years of service to our communities with remarks in the Congressional Record. #CO03

It’s always good to see people from #CO03 here in Washington. Last week, I hosted another Coffee with Your Congressman for constituents visiting D.C. Some were here to advocate for their communities and issues they care about, and I appreciated the chance to sit down, hear what brought them to Washington, and answer questions. Some of the most innovative energy work in the country is happening right here in Western Colorado, including beneath our feet. CMU President John Marshall showed me the university’s expanding geo-exchange system, which already heats and cools 16 buildings and roughly 1.2 million square feet. What I like about this project is that it’s practical: using the resources we have here to meet local energy needs efficiently and proving this technology can work at scale. I’m proud to have CMU in my hometown of Grand Junction and proud to see Western Colorado leading the way on practical, locally driven energy innovation. #CO03 @ColoradoMesaU

The rules of our elections should not change depending on who controls Washington. That’s why Congressman Ed Case and I introduced the bipartisan TRUST Act. The principle is simple: the census happens once every ten years, and congressional maps should follow the same timeline. I joined Republican and Democratic colleagues from the Problem Solvers Caucus to make the case for a more stable redistricting process that puts voters ahead of partisan advantage. I was sent to Congress to represent Western and Southern Colorado, not to defend whichever party happens to be in power. I’ll keep working across the aisle when it means strengthening our institutions and delivering for #CO03.

I do not need to agree with someone on every issue to work with them when it is good for Colorado. I joined my friend Congressman Ed Case on C-SPAN’s Ceasefire to discuss our bipartisan work to stop mid-decade redistricting. Pueblo knows how to build things. It has the workers, the manufacturing experience, and the industrial backbone to compete for the next generation of good-paying American jobs. I joined Acting Secretary of Labor Keith Sonderling at United Launch Alliance to see the skilled work being done right here in Pueblo to support America’s aerospace industry. We also sat down with local leaders to talk about strengthening the pipeline into the skilled trades and connecting more young people with careers that allow them to build a good life right here in Southern Colorado. I don’t represent Washington in Colorado. I represent Colorado in Washington. That means listening to the people who know this community, fighting for the infrastructure and workforce investments Pueblo needs, and making sure federal policy creates opportunities instead of obstacles. Agile Space Industries designs and builds propulsion systems that help spacecraft maneuver in orbit, creating good jobs and strengthening America’s leadership in space. Voters should choose their representatives, not the other way around. Water is the lifeblood of Western Colorado, and the future of the Colorado River will shape our communities for generations. I recently joined water leaders to discuss drought, river management, and the decisions ahead for Colorado and the Upper Basin. I’ll keep fighting to protect Colorado’s water, defend the interests of the Upper Basin, and make sure Western Colorado has a strong voice in the decisions that affect our future. #CO03

America needs more electricity and a stronger grid. But Colorado families and small businesses should not be stuck paying for infrastructure built to serve some of the nation’s largest electricity users. That’s why I joined my Problem Solvers Caucus colleagues in urging the Senate to pass the bipartisan Ratepayer Protection Act. As data centers and other large-load customers drive new demand, they should bear the costs of the infrastructure needed to serve them, not existing ratepayers. The House passed this bill 417–3. The Senate should get it done. #CO03

Today, we remember the American service members who endured captivity as prisoners of war and those who never made it home. Their courage and sacrifice are part of a debt our country can never fully repay. We also stand with the families who have carried the uncertainty and loss of a loved one missing in action. Our commitment is simple: we remember them, we honor their service, and we do not leave them behind. They are not forgotten. 🇺🇸
