Canada and Mexico are the two largest export markets for American fresh produce, but U.S. growers, packers, and shippers still lack enforceable payment protections when doing business in Mexico. I joined a bipartisan letter urging the Administration to close this gap through the USMCA process and ensure producers in CA-19 and across the country are paid for the products they sell abroad.

NOAA is forecasting a greater than 90% chance of a very strong El Niño this fall and winter, with a 75% chance it will exceed the strength of every El Niño recorded since 1950. California’s 19th Congressional District is vulnerable to extreme storms, flooding, landslides, and coastal erosion.
