Great to be in Hilliard this morning with Ohio Head Start. Thank you for having me out and for the important work you’re doing to support Ohio families.

It was great to be at The Ohio State University’s Farm Science Review 2026 and see firsthand the work being done through the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences. Agriculture is a vital part of Ohio’s economy and way of life, and I’m proud to see Ohio State continuing to support the farmers, students, and agricultural leaders who keep our state moving forward.

Another busy week across the 15th District, from discussing permitting reform and housing to workforce education and the redevelopment of Westland Mall. Grateful for the opportunity to hear directly from Ohioans and learn more about the work happening across our district.

This week, the Renewing the African American Civil Rights Network Act, which I co-lead with my colleague Rep. Jim Clyburn, passed the Natural Resources Committee by unanimous consent. This bipartisan legislation will help preserve the places and stories that tell the history of the civil rights movement and make sure they’re here for future generations to learn from. I’m proud to see this bill take another step forward, and I look forward to getting it across the finish line.

I was proud to speak on the House floor in recognition of the American and Nepali people who remain missing in the wake of the deadly flooding in Nepal. As co-chair of the Congressional Nepal Caucus, I remain ready to assist the administration in its efforts to rescue American citizens and support Nepal’s recovery and rebuilding efforts.

Today, I was honored to join hundreds of volunteers for the 9/11 Day of Service at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum, alongside Mayor Ginther and Commissioner O’Grady, as we packed meals for families across our community through the Mid-Ohio Food Collective. Twenty-five years later, we continue to honor those we lost on September 11 by coming together in service to others. I’m grateful to everyone who gave their time today to keep that spirit of service alive.

Twenty-five years have passed since September 11, 2001, but the significance of that day has never faded. Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost and honor the bravery of the firefighters, police officers, first responders, and everyday Americans who put themselves in harm’s way to help their fellow citizens. We must never allow fear or terror to diminish the freedoms that make our nation the greatest country in the history of the world. On this anniversary, we remember those we lost and remain grateful to the men and women who continue to protect our country. God bless America.

Great to join the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and Mayor Groomes for the ribbon cutting and grand opening of Bristol Republic. Dublin continues to grow, and it’s always great to see new businesses opening their doors and investing in the city. Wishing the Bristol Republic team all the best.

We were happy to stop by West High School and see firsthand how their partnership with Communities In Schools is helping students get the support and resources they need to succeed. Thanks to the students and staff for taking the time to show us around and share more about the great work happening at West.

Happy Labor Day to Ohio’s hardworking men and women. Today is a chance to recognize the people who show up every day, put in the work, and help make our state and country stronger.

I am relieved to hear that Dr. Acton was unharmed, and I pray that any supporters who were injured make a full and speedy recovery. Thank you to the law enforcement officers for their quick response. Violence against any candidate for public office, or their supporters, is unacceptable.

Since taking office, my team and I have worked every day to bring results and resources back to Ohio’s 15th District, delivering a total of $109,860,863. That includes $35,480,363 returned directly to constituents through casework and $74,380,500 secured for 38 community projects across the district. From helping Ohioans navigate federal agencies to securing investments that improve infrastructure and support our economic growth, we remain focused on delivering results that make a real difference across the 15th District.

A busy final week of the August district work period across the 15th District, from checking in on federal investments and visiting local businesses to meeting with manufacturers and supporting organizations serving Ohio families. Now it’s back to Washington, taking what we learned across the district with us.

This morning, I volunteered with the Mid-Ohio Food Collective to learn more about the Commodity Supplemental Food Program and its impact on seniors across Central Ohio. CSFP provides nutritious USDA foods to eligible seniors, helping supplement their diets and ensure they have access to the food they need. I was proud to support maintaining this important program in this year’s Agriculture Appropriations bill, and it was great to see its impact firsthand. Thank you to the Mid-Ohio Food Collective for having me out and for the important work you do every day to fight hunger across Ohio.

It was a productive week in the 15th District, with visits to manufacturing plants and distribution centers, meetings with constituents and local business leaders, and speaking at Festival Latino Columbus. Here’s a look at the work we’ve been doing.
