Glad to have had the opportunity to discuss some of the challenges our country’s bike manufacturers face due to this administration’s tariffs. As co-chair of the Congressional Bike Caucus and an avid cyclist, I was proud to introduce the bipartisan America Bikes Act alongside @vernbuchanan. Our legislation tackles important cycling priorities by keeping riders safe, expanding bike infrastructure, and bringing back bike manufacturing to the United States.

Thank you, Ben Westhoff, for coming in to discuss the many lives that have been destroyed by the fentanyl epidemic, including Michael Leonardi from our community who passed away from an overdose. This epidemic is a tragedy, and we must stop the flow of fentanyl and provide resources, education, and counseling for those struggling.

Proud to have joined 217 of my colleagues in signing the discharge petition for the Major Richard Star Act, ensuring this critical piece of legislation receives a vote this Congress. Veterans need real help. The Major Richard Star Act would end the so-called “wounded veteran tax,” so our nation’s veterans receive the full benefits they have earned through their service.

Great to have the opportunity to tour the Woodland Regional Park Preserve and learn about the history of the Preserve, their recently completed improvements and their exciting plans for future projects. This preserve is a great educational tool for our community, hosting field trips and other activities to educate the next generation on the importance of nature and wildlife.

Congratulations, Brown Street Gallery, on 20 successful years of serving as an inclusive art gallery for neurodiverse artists in our community. They are one of the only galleries in our region dedicated to showcasing the work of neurodiverse artists in a professional gallery, which fosters creativity, dignity, inclusion, and community engagement.
