Some crazy stats from our new Deseret News/Hinckley Institute poll:
1. Democratic socialism is an elite, not working class, movement. Nationally, 70% of Democrats w/ at least four years of college experience support "democratic socialism," compared to 52% without a degree.
2. Utah Democrats love the left wing of the party. Utah Democrats stand out as being 11 percentage points more likely than national peers to favor candidates and political leaders who are "democratic socialists."
3. The taboo is gone for young Democrats. More than 64% of Democratic voters aged 18-34 support "socialism" as an economic system — roughly 20 percentage points higher than older Democrats.
