Thank you to everyone for the messages of love and support ahead of the latest round of lawfare being used against me. This shouldn't be happening in a fair and balanced society, but here we go again. Let's hope justice prevails. No surrender.

🚨🚨🚨 RICHARD LEESE, ANDY BURNHAM AND THE MANCHESTER-UAE NETWORK One name keeps appearing when you trace Manchester’s relationship with Sheikh Mansour’s investment network: Sir Richard Leese. 🏛️ Leese led Manchester City Council for 25 years. 🏗️ In August 2014, he became a director of Manchester Life Development Company. Companies House records Sheikh Mansour as the controlling shareholder in that company, with more than 50% of the shares and voting rights. Manchester City Council holds more than 25%. (find-and-update.company-info…) Leese later became a director of further Manchester Life companies, including Manchester Life Development Company 2 and Manchester Life Strategic Development Company. (find-and-update.company-info…) 🗳️ Then Andy Burnham was elected Mayor of Greater Manchester in 2017. One of Burnham’s first major appointments? 🤝 Richard Leese as Deputy Mayor of Greater Manchester, responsible for business and the economy. (greatermanchester-ca.gov.uk) So between 2017 and 2021, Leese simultaneously sat at the centre of: 🏛️ Manchester City Council. 📈 Burnham’s Greater Manchester leadership and economic policy. 🏗️ Manchester Life, the development partnership majority controlled by Sheikh Mansour. He left the Manchester Life boards on 1 December 2021. 🔄 On the very same day, Bev Craig replaced him as a Manchester Life director. (find-and-update.company-info…) Then came another remarkable development. ⚽ After leaving Manchester City Council, Leese was appointed an Honorary President of Manchester City FC. The club itself praised him for his role in the regeneration of East Manchester, now home to the Etihad Stadium and City Football Academy. (mancity.com) So the chain is remarkably tidy: 🏛️ Manchester council leader 🏗️ Sheikh Mansour-controlled Manchester Life director 🤝 Andy Burnham’s Deputy Mayor and economy lead ⚽ Manchester City Honorary President None of this, by itself, proves wrongdoing. But it shows just how closely Manchester’s Labour political establishment, its regeneration machinery and the Abu Dhabi-backed Manchester City ecosystem became intertwined. And Burnham was not standing outside that system. He put Leese at the heart of his own Greater Manchester administration.

Put your hand on your chest. Feel that? ❤️ For fourteen hundred years, doctors got it wrong. They followed an ancient Greek doctor called Galen. 📜 He taught that blood was made in the liver from your food. Then used up by the body, like fuel. Nobody checked. 🤷 Then came a boy from Folkestone. William Harvey. Born 1578. 🌊 He became a doctor at Barts. He did something nobody had bothered to do. He counted. 🧮 How much blood in one beat? He guessed low. Just a small spoonful. How many beats in half an hour? Over a thousand. ⏳ Even on his lowest guess, in a single day, the heart pumps out more blood than the whole body weighs. 🤯 No liver could make that much. It must be going round. And round. And round. 🔄 In 1628, he published it. The doctors laughed. People said he was crack-brained. His patients left him. 😔 He didn't back down. It took twenty years. But they came round. 💪 Every blood test. Every heart operation. Every transfusion. They all start with a man from Kent who counted. 🇬🇧 They teach you medicine came from the Greeks and the Romans. Not that it took a man from Kent to prove them wrong. 🏛️ A country that doesn't just accept what it's told. It checks. ✅ Feel it again. Four hundred years ago, a man from Kent worked out what it's doing. ❤️ proudofus.co.uk/support Be Part Of Us. ☝️🇬🇧 Be Proud Of Us. 🙏🇬🇧

You've had a weekend every week of your life. 🇬🇧 Nobody told you where it came from. The lie-in. The Saturday game. The Sunday roast. ⚽ All of it began in the cotton towns of Lancashire. And it started with a whistle. 1840: A mill hand worked 6 days a week. 12 hours a day. Sunday was for church. Saturday was just another shift. So the workers took Monday off instead. They called it Saint Monday. 🍺 The owners called it idleness. They docked their wages for it. But a mill can't run without its hands. So the mills and the mill hands made a deal. Turn up on Monday. And on Saturday, the whistle goes at 2. 1850: Parliament made it the law. Every mill in Britain stops at 2 on a Saturday. Half a day. All their own. The other half day followed, trade by trade, over the next century. And what do you do with a free Saturday afternoon? You play football. The whistle went at 2. So kick-off was at 3. It still is. ⏰ 1879: A magazine printed a strange new word from Staffordshire: week-end. The world had no word for it. Because the world didn't have one. America was still working Saturdays in the 1920s. Lancashire had stopped at 2 for 70 years. Every weekend on earth started at a mill gate in the north of England. They teach you the mills. They never teach you that ordinary mill hands made Saturday happen. Nobody told you where it came from. It came from ordinary British people. That's what Proud Of Us is for. The mill hands made a deal and kept it. So do we. No sponsors. No ads. No agenda. Just people like you. Send this to someone who's off today. They gave you your Saturday. Give them a minute of it. 👇 proudofus.co.uk/support Be Part Of Us. ☝️🇬🇧 Be Proud Of Us. 🙏🇬🇧

🦴 A skeleton in a cave. Nine thousand years old. They tested his DNA. 🧬 And matched it to a man living half a mile away. 🇬🇧 In 1903, workers were digging a drainage channel inside a gorge in Somerset. They hit bone. A body. Curled up. Deep inside the rock. He'd been there since before Stonehenge. Before the pyramids. They called him Cheddar Man. 🧀 He hunted deer through forests that covered this island. He fished rivers that still run through the same valley today. And then he died. Alone. In a cave. For a century, he sat behind glass. A museum piece. A curiosity. A name on a plaque. Then in 1997, a scientist from Oxford had an idea. He took DNA from one of Cheddar Man's teeth. Then he went into the village. Walked into the local school. Swabbed the cheeks of twenty residents. And ran the tests. 🧬 One matched. Adrian Targett. History teacher. Living half a mile from the cave. Three hundred generations. Same family. Same valley. Nine thousand years. And the line never left. He didn't know. The longest unbroken connection between a living person and an ancient ancestor. Anywhere in the world. Same hills. Same river. Same village. Half a mile from the cave. You are the reason we can tell these stories. proudofus.co.uk/support Be Proud Of Us. 🇬🇧

They call the English a mongrel people... 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧 The science says something better. 🧪👨‍🔬 In 2015 scientists in Oxford tested 2,039 people. Only people whose 4 grandparents were all born within 50 miles of each other. So the map they drew wasn't Britain today. It was Britain in 1885. Before anyone moved. 17 groups across these islands. 🗺️ Cornwall. Wales in pieces. The north. Scotland in pieces. Orkney. And the English were one. One people from Kent to Yorkshire. One group, where everywhere else on the map was many. So where did they come from? In 2022 they went to the graves. ⚱️ 278 people who died here 1,500 years ago. They read what was in them. 3 streams. The Britons who were already here before the Romans. The families who crossed the North Sea after the Romans left. Whole families. As many women as men. Not a wipe-out. They married in. And a third stream from across the Channel, over centuries. 3 streams. 1 river. 🌊 By the Middle Ages the mixing had settled. The map of 1885 still showed it, 900 years on. Same fields. Same church. Same names on the gravestones. That's not a mongrel. A mongrel is a mix nobody meant. This is a recipe. 3 ingredients. 1,000 years to set. 🏺 And here's the part that matters. A lineage isn't a wall. It's a line. People who kept the same place and the same ways, then handed them on. The Normans joined it. The Huguenots joined it. Anyone can. The price is keeping it. They teach you the English are a mixture. So is every people on earth. What they don't teach you is what it became. 1,500 years on the same ground. Not many can say that. That's why Proud Of Us is here. To teach the next generation who we really are. No sponsors. No ads. No agenda. Just people like you. If you can, stand with us. If you can't, send this to someone who's never been told. They said mongrel. That doesn't change a thousand years of lineage. It just means nobody told them. Let's teach our next Generation the truth.👇 👉proudofus.co.uk/support 👈 Be Part Of Us. ☝️🇬🇧 Be Proud Of Us. 🙏🇬🇧

Half the country owns its own home because of a pub in Birmingham. 🇬🇧 A buttonmaker on Snow Hill couldn't afford a house. Nobody like him could. So the landlord of the Golden Cross had an idea. 🍺 None of you can build a house. All of you can. A few shillings each. Every week. 🪙 When there's enough, build a house. Draw a name out of a hat. One of us gets the keys. 🔑 Keep paying. Build the next one. Until every man in the room has a front door. Nobody gave them anything. They built it out of pennies and each other. They called it a building society. Within 50 years there were hundreds. 🏘️ The idea went round the world. Every mortgage you've ever heard of descends from a hat going round a pub table. The pub's gone. The idea isn't. There are still 42 building societies in Britain, owned by their 26 million members, no shareholders, no landlord. If you've ever had a Nationwide account, you were in Ketley's pub. They teach you the Industrial Revolution. They never teach you that the men in it clubbed together and built their own front doors. 🧱 That's what Proud Of Us is for. We're passing the hat for the story. Paid for by people like you. No sponsors. No ads. No agenda. They passed a hat round and built a country's homes. Will you put your name in? 👇 proudofus.co.uk/support Be Part Of Us. ☝️🇬🇧 Be Proud Of Us. 🙏🇬🇧

Britain told the world what time it is. 🇬🇧 Not by asking. In 1884, 25 nations sat down in Washington to pick 1 line for the world's clocks. France wanted Paris. Germany wanted Berlin. Some wanted the middle of the Pacific. But the sailors had already voted. 2 thirds of the ships on earth steered by British charts, because for 200 years the Observatory at Greenwich had kept the navy's time, and for 50 of them a red ball had dropped from its roof at 1 o'clock so every captain on the Thames could set his watch. The world's shipping already ran on our time. The vote just admitted it. 22 to 1. That's how Britain does things. Not by asking. By being the thing everyone already relies on. So every time zone on earth is still counted from a brass strip in a London park. You can stand on it, 1 foot east and 1 foot west. Most of London doesn't know it's there. They teach you it's called Greenwich Mean Time. Not that the world had a vote and chose us. That's what Proud Of Us is for. Britain didn't ask the world to choose it. It earned it. That's the way we work too. No sponsors. No ads. No agenda. It runs on people like you. Every film comes with a free lesson for any school that wants one. The world set its watch by Britain once.... Let's give it a reason to look again. 👉 proudofus.co.uk/support 👈 Be Part Of Us. ☝️🇬🇧 Be Proud Of Us. 🙏🇬🇧

So why would oil companies want licenses? Why are we buying £40bn of oil and gas from Norway every year from the same fields? And the government is killing the industry with the windfall taxes - not the lack of oil and gas stopping the drilling. I'm smelling something.

Britain is allowed to be proud of itself. 🇬🇧 The Italians are proud of Italy. The Jamaicans are proud of Jamaica. The Polish are proud of Poland. As they should be. And so should we. Proud of the miners. Whose pennies built the NHS, decades before Whitehall had the idea. The nurses who ran it. The shipbuilders of Belfast. The engineers who threw a bridge across the Forth. The men who wired the world from a Greenwich wharf. The mothers who kept this country standing when the men were gone. A small, wet island that gave the world its language, its laws and its football. 🇬🇧 That isn't against anyone. Pride isn't hate. It never was. It's just gratitude, said out loud. Somewhere along the way, you were told to be quiet about it. We're done being quiet. Because people who know their history stand a little taller. And once we know how this country was made great in the first place, together, we can do it again. Listening to these civil servants in Parliament, what strikes me most is the utter disconnect from what millions of people are going through in the private sector. It is a completely different world. For millions of workers and small business owners, there is no guaranteed pay rise. No automatic progression. No cosy pension. No comfortable assumption that your job will still exist next year. If the company you work for runs out of money, that's it. It’s over. Done. If your small business cannot pay its bills, that's it. If customers disappear, costs rise, or things go south? There are consequences. People lose their jobs. Salaries are cut. Businesses go bust. It’s tough. Always is. I have been there and done that. Every month, businesses have to find the money for wages, rent, energy, tax. A plumber has to find customers. A farmer has to make the numbers work. A factory has to remain competitive. A pub has to somehow survive another year of rising costs. An entrepreneur can work every hour of the day and still end up with nothing. There is no rest, it goes on and on and on. Sunday mornings, and every other hour of the week. That’s the reality. It’s one I’ve lived in for decades, along with millions of others. Then you listen to the state bureaucracy and it sounds as though none of this exists. Four day weeks. No accountability. Phone off at the weekend. Impossible to get sacked. The bureaucrats chuck these numbers around with ZERO appreciation of where it comes from - it is insulting arrogance. That is OUR money. Every pound government spends first has to come from somewhere. Ultimately, it comes from the productive economy, productive Britain. From the people working, trading, investing and taking risks. They are the ones who have my respect. There are good people in the civil service. But the system is just so broken. Government, and the people working within it, has become too insulated from the economic reality experienced by the people who actually have to fund it. A Restore Britain Government will expect the state to understand something that every small-business owner already knows through brutal first-hand experience. Money is finite, performance matters and failure MUST have consequences. Departments should have clear objectives. Lines of accountability. Not endless silos where nobody takes responsibility. Senior officials should be accountable for delivering them. Poor performance should not disappear into yet another bullshit review. They should be sacked. In fact, for the very worst offenders the punishment should be more severe and we will aim to pursue prosecutions where the loss of taxpayer money has been so vast. And we should bring FAR more private-sector experience into government. I want people who have built businesses, worked on building sites, run farms and actually had to deliver results directly involved in reshaping and restoring the British state. On one side are millions of people being told to work harder, pay more tax, accept worse services and lower their expectations - all to fund a life of luxury for the endless conveyor belt of freeloading Somalis and Afghans. On the other is a state that permanently demands more of OUR money while accepting remarkably little responsibility for its own failures. The system is bent, broken and corrupt. The state is funded by the people. It works for the people. And under Restore Britain, it will finally be expected to deliver for the people.
