Impressive steps taken by SLC. Well prepared is half done. Good to see. Lacked planning in both 2019 and 2023 campaigns.
Sri Lanka were a flop in 2019 and 2023 World Cups. Both campaigns ended in disaster. They failed to qualify for Champions Trophy after finishing ninth in 2023. Roshan Mahanama promises 2027 will be different and they are putting together a comprehensive plan.

No one can match his work ethic. The day someone matches it, Sri Lankan cricket will be in good hands.

Should have happened ten years ago. But politicians; Dayasiri Jayasekara, Faizer Mustapha, Harin Fernando and Namal Rajapaksa dragged their feet preventing change.
Sri Lanka’s Supreme Court is expected to communicate its determination on the Bill proposing a new constitution for Sri Lanka Cricket to the Speaker of Parliament this week. The Court heard submissions from petitioners challenging the Bill throughout last week. The proposed framework seeks to strengthen checks and balances and give professionals a greater role in the administration of SLC.

Rawalpindi showed what Sri Lanka are capable of when the batting clicks, but consistency is the real challenge ahead.

Amazing from Sri Lanka to knock off 430. Pretty hopeless from England, which means Harry Brook's record-breaking double-hundred ends up in defeat.

Reduction of votes at the cricket AGM is a timely move.
The Supreme Court will today continue hearing arguments on the proposed new constitution for Sri Lanka Cricket, with the removal of District Cricket Associations’ voting rights remaining a key bone of contention.
Parties supporting the bill will make their submissions through a galaxy of lawyers, followed by observations from the Attorney General’s Department.

Lunch in PE and guess who’s showed up for the show; Dale Steyn, Makhaya Ntini, Allan Donald, Vernon Philander, Shaun Pollock and Paul Adams. Too good.
Nicely hosted by Pommie Mbangwa.

Big day for Sri Lankan cricket today as Supreme Court is expected to give its ruling on the new constitution.
Interesting update from Hulftsdorp as Supreme Court is hearing arguments on proposed new constitution for Sri Lanka Cricket. Former captains Mahela Jayawardene and Rangana Herath and others have provided affidavits supporting the bill. Proof that cricketing community want change
