Blocked Prince William today, apparently he is now living in Nigeria

I once received a package in the mail from the Shangri-La lounge in Thurmont Maryland. My wife met me at the door with the package and said I wonder what's in this. I traveled a lot on Navy business and was a little concerned about what it might be. Turned out to be a coffee cup from Camp David from a Navy Chief that I had mentored.

First I must say that I never voted for Bill Clinton. However, I had a buddy that worked at the White House when I was stationed in DC. He got me a bottle of champagne with the presidential seal from the 1993 inauguration. I had it for about 15 years thinking it might be worth something and my wife sold it to an immigrant at her yard sale for $2 while I was fishing.

Natural spring and swimming hole near my home. There are 18 public springs in Suwannee County. Water temp is 72° year round.

A few years ago I found a small treasure chest at the flea market. Took all of my foreign money from the countrys I visited, coins and bills and put them in it with some $1 bills. Buried it in a local park and made a map to find it. The map was tattered and soaked in coffee to look old. Grandkids had a great time trying to find it and then discovering all the unusual currencies it held.

I made two cross country road trips with my family of over 3,000 miles for military transfers. What an adventure. Visited many great tourist attractions and national parks.

I had to march a group of Sailors from my ship to a shooting range once, it was comical. The only time we ever march is in boot camp.

My little brother served on the same ship with me for 4 years, USS Goldsboro DDG20 . We made two Westpac deployments together. We talked every day until he passed away a few years ago and he would always say why are you always the hero in every story.

Got an inch of rain yesterday. The weather guesser said it was going to rain all day today but so far no go.
