Can you guess this film by it's barcode? Hint: That light blue line is one of the most iconic scenes in 21st century cinema.

@YankeeGunner @clivepafc I'm not sure how you factor this into the punishment, or if you even can, but City Football Group are not the same as Kroenke or Fenway (to name just two). CFG competes for trophies as a means to an end.

Their ultimate goal is to burnish the name of Abu Dhabi and provide cover for human rights violations. That seems to me to make this whole affair even worse, but again, not sure how you can incorporate this other than to say it's a good reason to remove them from the EPL.

I'm going to give Peter Thiel the benefit of the doubt because I don't know the context of that statement and if it just related to novels, but if Thiel meant it literally, he's more of a sociopath and more sinister than I imagined.

“If you’re evil, you’re at least competent” is one of the all time bad takes. There were tons of things the Nazis were not competent at. More recently, the entire Trump universe is filled to capacity with people who are evil and so wildly incompetent it beggars belief.

@YankeeGunner @clivepafc what do you think of a 20 point deduction every year for five years instead of one deduction of 100 points? Would mean no relegation, but would put them out of title range for five years instead of one (they would bounce right back from relegation)

When you schedule a tweet and your intern is too stupid to stop it before it goes out.

I have officially began applying for internships/positions with MLB organizations for 2027. I am a student at NYU dual majoring with a 4.0 GPA in Economics/Mathematics and a minor in Data Science with the explicit goal of creating the future of baseball analysis. I am extremely passionate about this career path and have created my own sabermetric/scouting website, @eephus_io , from scratch, with mathematically verified industry-leading models and metrics for prospect/MLB-level analysis. I would love the opportunity to go into detail about my work, provide you with a resume, or speak to you personally. If you have or know about any MLB opportunities or would like to speak with me about my work and/or background further, please DM me or e-mail me at ARKNDJL@gmail.com to connect. I am incredibly excited about working in baseball and believe I will be a major contributing asset to any Major League Baseball franchise.

Hey Noah, I know it’s a different time and you are far more qualified than I was, but back in ‘94 I sent resumes to a ton of minor league teams. Got picked up, and a couple years later I was with the Yankees. Maybe try the minors too.

I’m watching and jokingly say to myself “I’m not going out there if Dick van Patten isn’t there,” and he literally shows up on screen two seconds later.

The excruciating trifecta of “Ebony And Ivory”, “The Girl Is Mine” and “Say Say Say” plays in perpetual rotation in Hades — life-long stains on the careers of the HOFers who collaborated on them. (Dishonorable mention: “That's What Friends Are For”!)
most of these i agree with but Macarena is actually very good.

@YankeeGunner - Not only has Chelsea failed to beat us in the last 8 EPL games, but if you look at the next two games they play after us (total of 16 games), they've only won 7 - and 3 of those 7 were against Spurs. If you have to play Chelsea, hope to play them right after us.

Can you think of a company where the quote, "The way PE fucked this amazing company should be studied" isn't valid?

Witty statements from Chapter 1, such as "if you really know what's going on, you don't have to know what's going on to know what's going on" & "if they know enough to write a book, they know enough not to write a book" reveal that Hall was a true insider in the #spy business.
I enjoyed reading Roger Hall's entertaining #OSS memoir You're Stepping on My Cloak & Dagger, first published in 1957, in which, by the way, Bill Casey, the future #CIA director, plays a prominent role. Now I look forward to reading Hall's only #spy fiction novel 19.

Putting Mays in the top tier with Ruth is the placement I expect to hear about, so let me get ahead of it. Ruth heads that S tier on production alone, and he also led the American League in ERA in 1916, back when he was a full time pitcher, which no other great hitter in the game's history can claim. Mays is up there because he did everything at an elite level in the largest and most difficult center field in baseball, and because he lost most of two seasons to military service in his early twenties. Those are seasons he would have spent at his physical peak, and they are simply gone from the record. Both men clear the bar by a distance that makes the tier look small. Mantle in the C tier is my one real second guess, and injuries put him there.

The fact that Rickey Henderson isn't on this anywhere is so completely absurd it beggars belief. All time records: #1 Stolen bases #1 Runs Scored #2 Walks and enough single-season records to fill a phone book
