Q: Why were skin pins separated and the Catalog replaced? Can we buy individual pins without buying a whole bundle?
A: A survey showed players cared more about visual effects than pins. Legendary skins gained spawn effects, Mythic skins gained takedown effects, and more skins became available for Bling. Pins could then be sold separately or in bundles.
The Oddities Shop was mainly built to sell skins, with other cosmetics as extras, and encourage players to spend their Bling. They tested it on its own to see its effect. The graphs show players spending more, but also earning more and having more saved.
They know discounts don't solve the problem if you already own the skin and only want its pin. They're adjusting offers and considering separate purchases, offers based on what you own or like, more direct Bling offers, and earning cosmetics by using a skin. Nothing is confirmed yet, including compensation or splitting every bundle, and this isn't their biggest priority.
