I thought @vangrid_io was mainly building better maps.
Then I understood the bigger idea:
AI agents can pay people to see what’s happening in the real world.
An agent sends a request.
USDC moves on Base.
Someone nearby takes the task, visits the location, and captures what’s actually there.
That simple loop opens up a lot of possibilities.
Maps tell you where something is.
Satellite imagery shows you the world from above.
But neither can always answer the questions that matter on the ground.
Where’s the real entrance?
What does the loading area look like?
Is that small path actually accessible?
What does the location look like right now?
Instead of waiting for a mapping team, an AI agent could simply pay someone nearby to check.
That’s the part of @vangrid_io that has my attention.
It’s not just collecting more map data.
It’s giving software a way to request fresh information from the physical world when existing data isn’t enough.
Now the interesting question is whether AI agents can create enough demand to keep these bounties moving.
If they can, the network could grow around real demand.
Until then, I’ll keep taking the bounties that make sense when they pop up near me.
