This August Bank Holiday, I'm going to be taking part in the Epsom Mascot Derby at @EpsomRacecourse as Bobby McBaize, helping to raise money for the fantastic @Childrens_Trust. I'm delighted to have been invited along by the wonderful @Johnny_Potalot, who does so much to promote our game. There'll be mascots representing all sorts of sports, and we'll be proudly flying the flag for snooker! If you fancy sponsoring me at all, I'd be hugely grateful. Absolutely no pressure, as I know times aren't easy for everyone, but anything you can spare would be amazing. If you can't donate, a repost would also mean a lot and really helps spread the word 🙏 If you do donate, please mention Bobby McBaize in your message, as there's a prize for the mascot that raises the most money. It would be brilliant if we could give snooker a good showing! Thank you all! Wish Bobby luck—he will need all he can get 😅 justgiving.com/page/epsommas…

Just looking at the planned Fantasy Five transfer windows, and it's strange to me that the next one, November 21st to 28th, is right alongside UK Championship qualifying. Like, what's the point in having such a large window when everyone will logically just wait till the end to see how it all pans out? The German Masters qualifiers are just before as well 🤷‍♂️ The Champion of Champions week would've been the perfect opportunity for it, I feel. Invitational, obviously, so would have no bearing on proceedings and offers up a nice long stretch for folk to mull everything over. All that said, the timing of the first didn't stick, so maybe this won't be strictly adhered to. And I believe it's just one guy running the show, a workload which I greatly sympathise with and one which probably comes with its own organisational constraints.

✨️ FANTASY FIVE TWITTER LEAGUE ✨️ 2026/27 Season - SEVENTH UPDATE 👇 Perhaps the most interesting thing of note in this update is that our current number one, @JohnDoesSnooker, scored ABSOLUTELY NOTHING from the Northern Ireland Open but STILL finds himself ruling the roost. Despite maintaining a healthy lead, he is somewhat more vulnerable now and will be praying this is just a minor blip and not a turning point in the story of his reign. We get less and less movement, naturally, as the season progresses, which makes significant jumps all the more impressive. Congratulations to @FionaMC2005 on having the biggest rise this tournament, both Kyren Wilson and Sam Craigie featuring in her squad and providing a leap of 18 places. (I am STILL the only player in the Top 64 not currently holding on to Chang Bingyu 😵) (Shout-out to @Matt_Lester and @thesnookerhall for landing on 1,473,650 and 1,471,100 points respectively 🤭) Full leaderboard here - docs.google.com/spreadsheets… 🥇 - @JohnDoesSnooker 🥈 - @Rutledgetwit 🥉 - @SeaYou22 4th - @SimonB__ 5th - @adrienne_cgn 6th - @GavSnooker 7th - @esel_freund 8th - @thesulli81 9th - @Bazzinho9 10th - @philhaigh_ 11th - @RIT1973 12th - @PaulCurran82 13th - @EndOfFrame 14th - @KimKristensen72 15th - @Daz_eds1984 16th - @1sausage1 17th - @TLawJourno 18th - @mattjones2856 19th - @donluigi87 20th - @swanabi 21st - @HarriKD1 22nd - @LSeinwill 23rd - @Matt_Lester 24th - @thesnookerhall 25th - @Sheevang 26th - @BenWhitehead6 27th - @PLtheLegend 28th - @RobJF24 29th - @Catriona1989 30th - @rosiejames147 31st - @snookerMagda 32nd - @voooolare

I really want a keyring of the Warrior just so I can call it 'Keyring Wilson'.

The Warrior 💪🏆 #NIOpen

Congratulations to Kyren Wilson on winning the Northern Ireland Open 2026 👏🏆 His eleventh ranking title. He shall henceforth be known as Kyreleven Wilson until he snaffles the next one. Some very much needed ranking points earned for the Warrior—and for my Fantasy Five 💪 #NIOpen

I'd 8-2 be Jak Jones right now. #NIOpen

Whom are you hoping lifts the Alex Higgins Trophy this evening? #NIOpen

Regardless of the result tomorrow, Jak Jones is unquestionably player of the season so far for me now. #NIOpen

I have a ridiculous backlog of messages and comments across pretty much every platform, and it will be a while before I get fully on top of it 😅 Epsom, Cheltenham, Brentwood, and the Fantasy Five transfer window all landed at once a few weeks ago, and I never quite recovered. Then Bosnia and Belfast came along and made things considerably worse 😆 I'm back at work now, so finding time to catch up isn't easy, but I'll get through everything eventually. Logistical and time-sensitive stuff have to take priority. If you've messaged me, I haven't forgotten you! I really do appreciate everyone who takes the time to message, comment, or get in touch, even if my replies are currently operating on a geological timescale 🤣 And if I reply three months late, please assume I've been very carefully crafting my response rather than blatantly ignoring you 😅 Cheers for your patience 🙏🩵

Snooker trading cards! Let's see what I get 🤩

As an epilogue to this—the joke is that if you combine my first name with Lee's surname, you get the name of a famous snooker MC. I've got real problems if I can't tell the difference between Lee Walker and Rob Walker.

Mateusz Baraselfie 🤳 Always makes me feel positively ancient how the 'older' Polish player is still eight years younger than me 🙃 Very nice guy. Disappointed with how he played but still extremely giving and engaging. Hoping for more good runs from him this season. His place on tour isn't remotely secure, so it's a shame he narrowly lost his International qualifier.

Siren Wilson arriving for his match at 4:30.

A post-midnight finish for Jak Jones as he prevails over Daniel Wells. #NIOpen
