Today at St Elmo Fish Bar that featured in opening scene of #Sweeney episode "In from the Cold" when Billy Medhurst gets cornered by Regan. Sadly the actor that played him Anthony Heaton died when only 39 years of age in 1987.

Sad to hear of the death of singer, songwriter, actor comedian all-round entertainer Kenny Lynch aged 81.
He appeared in many Variety shows in the 60's had a UK top 10 hit with Up on the Roof made several films and tv shows like The Sweeney and Z Cars.He will be missed by many.

Oh wow, Gavin thank you- in vision too! ( What on earth was I wearing! ) Speaking very fast - obviously short of time. I blame the Pres controller. Happy memories. X

Social media 1970s style, no Sweeney or Minder on the box.
#OnThisDay 1979: With ITV on strike, people were forced to watch the BBC, which turned out to be rubbish.

Time for the Sunday Afternoon Matinee, and one of my fav gangster movies "The Long Good Friday", with a coffee from my #Sweeney mug. Great ending to film. #Regan & #Carter would not have let #BobHoskins character have got this big, if he had been on their manor in the 70s.

Only one way to end the evening of The Sweeney Reunion @CinemaMuseum last night; reliving the on-screen menace of Tim Cook, aka @GeorgeESweeney : great to meet him too, 40+ years after those iconic episodes, and what a lovely man he is. @MistyMoonEvents
