Can't lie I just wanted to flex that I knew every one of these hattricks off the dome sorry fellas

My tiny gripe is Anderson going the full 90 but that was tremendously fun and felt like street football at times, a nice dress rehearsal for Villa from a vibes POV even if the lineup will be starkly different :)

Also quite refreshing having almost everyone giving good accounts for themselves in rotational games again when you compare it to the last couple of seasons, recruitment very much on the up

Cuarenta y siete back amongst the hattricks 😁 But what a wonderful 'weak-footed' pick out + burst of pace from McAidoo

Allan would be extinct on the FIFA 13 transfer market (complimentary)

That is utterly gorgeous from Foden and the entire side, reminds me of Sterling vs Everton in 21/22 with an extra touch to knock it back to the scorer

Frimpong and that defender are gonna have themselves a bruised leg each from sliding into each other

And naturally, our starting DM has once again taken a blow right before Villa Park
Genuinely identical to Nico González's first goal for City, hilarious

The degree to which this group does or doesn’t step on each other’s toes will dictate how easy or difficult City make this for themselves, in my view
#ManCity vs AEK Athens

With respect to Athens it shouldn’t matter, but I think the midfield would be far more balanced if it contained Samba and Cherki played as the “de facto” striker
Tonight’s team to face AEK Athens! 💪🩵 XI | Donnarumma, Lewis, Khusanov, Dias (C), Gvardiol, Anderson, Fernández, Allan, Cherki, Foden, Samba SUBS | Rulli, Bettinelli, Guéhi, Ndiaye, Haaland, Doku, Aït-Nouri, Reis, Bouaddi, McAidoo, Braithwaite

FT EDS 1-1 AEK In a game they had to win, they responded immediately to an early deficit but when AEK set up in a very unfamiliar low block, City were left searching for answers and in the end are left with a deserved draw. Looking at 2 wins and a draw minimum from NAP/RBL/Barca

Bringing Woode on was the right call because he gives you more verticality but whoever is responsible for him not making runs in behind and receiving the ball to feet just like the other 10 players on this pitch has totally defeated the purpose of the sub in the first place

With respect, and it's not really their fault, you can tell these players have never faced a low block before, it's unbelievably flat

And the other side of it is at what point do you make subs, it's of utmost importance to win this one
