cast-science.org/cast-forms-… Very excited about the work of this carefully constructed Strategic Advisory Council in 2026. A National Academy of Agriculture (or Agricultural Sciences) is long overdue. I eagerly look forward to working with this exceptional group to make it happen.

It is opening day in Huskerland for @Huskers ! Looking forward to being back in One Memorial after a one year “pause” to recharge as Chancellor Emeritus. Not sure which job will be harder, being nervous about the start of the season— or keeping @Huskerjane0 under control. #GBR

My vantage point for morning reflection and java today at Leveaux Point on the north shore of Lake Superior. Abundance of beauty and solitude.

Last week, Brent Johnson received the KUDOS award from the @u_nebraska Board of Regents. By inspiring a teamwork attitude and contributing to the high morale among faculty, staff & students in @UNL_AniSci, Brent continues to have a positive impact on those around him.

Great to visit the USDA-ARS US Meat Animal Research Center today. 38 years ago I had the great privilege of starting my PhD research here. Great to see my mentors on the Hall of Fame wall—the incomparable Gordon Dickerson and Larry Cundiff. #Foundations4Life

Was extra special today to visit my dear friend, mentor, and @UNLincoln supporter Keith Heuermann in Grand Island. Oh, what he has seen and learned in his 98 years. We should write a book, Keith!! #NebraskaGreats

Last of the “farewell” events was one @Huskerjane0 and I were deeply touched by last night hosted by the NU Foundation with a room full of great friends and supporters of @UNLincoln . Such memories we have made since 2010. And to top it off Mayor @Leirion4Lincoln proclaimed the day in a special way! What an evening that filled our hearts to overflowing. #GBRAlways

The collective commitments of the Acklie family to Nebraska’s flagship University are unparalleled. By benefiting generations of @UNLCollegeofLaw graduates and their prior considerable support for students, faculty and programs in @UNL_CASNR, @NebraskaBiz, @NebEngineering and the @LiedCenter, the Acklies are truly sowing good in the world.
We are proud to announce a landmark pledge from the Acklie Charitable Foundation, the largest gift in the college's 132-year history. #NELaw

Wonderful to host the @UNLincoln senior leadership team one last time in farewell at our home tonight. The greatest higher education leadership team is right here at N-E-B-R-A-S-K-A and I have been blessed to work with this group in serving our University. Was great to be joined by several former chancellors, vice chancellors, and deans as well!
