Trading on news & the latest narratives

I guess the coins I like the most going into the new cycle are these: 1. $HYPE (perps, L1) 2. $TAO (AI, L1) 3. $NEAR (AI, L1, privacy) 4. $LIT (perps, the best bet on perps after HYPE) 5. $PUMP (memecoins, speculation) 6. $ZEC (L1, privacy) 7. $MON (new L1) 8. $MEGA (new L2) New coins good, old coins bad. HYPE, LIT, PUMP, MON, MEGA has never been in a bull. Well, you could argue HYPE launched at the tail of the bull, but not a full cycle. TAO and NEAR are clear tokens in the AI narrative. ZEC is the "VC-privacy coin". But tokens are not stocks, they have no value. Yes, and no. I think this is one of the hardest "dilemmas" of the new cycle. Betting on tokens in 2023 felt like a no-brainer. We all had hopes that our coins would make a comeback at some point. Now, in 2026, with an infinite number of tokens, it's harder than ever to pick something. There is a huge difference between a good product and a good token, and since most tokens are governance tokens, do we really need them? Maybe not, but it remains the main vehicle for speculation. What about BTC, SOL, ETH? BTC should always be a part of a core portfolio, maybe SOL and ETH also, but I think the ones above will outperform compared to them. Anyway, my gut feeling says that there will be something else that takes the spotlight, and that "the new thing" will outperform all of the 8 I listed. These are my thoughts today. Next week or next month I could already have changed my mind, so NFA and do your own research.

$SUI sending nicely today. Up another 18% today. Raoul Pal said that $SUI was his highest-conviction bet for AI agents, which is interesting. So when I heard that I had to dive more into this. And the $SUI AI thesis is not about launching another AI token. It is about becoming the settlement layer for agents that can eg. hold limited permissions, move stablecoins around, manage positions in DeFi, and pay for services autonomously. Other than that, the yearly SUI Basecamp event is coming up on October 7-8, and I expect to hear some bullish news coming out of it. I am long.
$SUI up over 50% over the last few days. However, it's still 80% down from it's $5.35 ATH, and still lots of room to run if momentum holds up. One of the winners last cycle fr. $550m TVL rn, but the ecosystem is also expanding across DeFi, stablecoins, gaming and consumer apps. Tbh, Sui doesn’t need to kill Ethereum or replace Solana. The bet is that crypto becomes much larger, and I think Sui captures a meaningful share of that growth going forward. Higher.

We are in a bull market. Basically, all the good altcoins have had a pump over the last month. Glad to see that tokens with revenue or a "purpose" are all doing well. In many ways, it feels similar to the run at the end of 2023. We saw a lot of rotations back then, and I see similar stuff now. But maybe the simplest thing you can do is to actually just hold the quality assets that you like for the full cycle? Many tokens I am bullish on as described in the pinned tweet, however $TAO still feels undervalued compared to the others. So I think it makes sense to rotate into that one. NFA & DYOR ofc. IMO, Compute Finance is one of the more interesting ideas coming out of 0G rn. Infinite AI turns locked $0G into a scarce asset with compute credits attached, rather than relying solely on emissions. Versus $VVV-backed DIEM, iAI launches with 9,270 total supply versus 40,000 DIEM, with $0G as the locked collateral asset. The unlock delay also gives the refreshed $0G model a cleaner setup, tbh. The real question is whether demand for compute can become a more durable driver than pure token incentives.
Introducing Compute Finance (ComFi). A financial layer for AI where digital assets don't just sit idle. They can pay for AI compute you actually use, in 0G Private Computer (100+ models) and the 0G App. Ascend is live. Infinite AI is scheduled for Sept 29.

DeepBook is now live on Sui, and it is a product stack that is actually worth paying attention to. Spot gives traders direct access to the shared order book behind more than $20B in volume, while funds remain self-custodied until an order executes. Predict lets traders take a view on a specific BTC price level or range across timeframes as short as one minute. What stands out to me is that it brings better execution and more precise market expression into one self-custodial app, without forcing traders to move capital across multiple venues. The combination of shared liquidity, onchain settlement, and flexible BTC markets makes this a notable launch for @DeepbookonSui IMO. Real. I remember back in 2023 if a new project had a Binance listing it was like: "Hell yeah, this will pump hard AF, I'm aping on launch". Today it doesn't matter anymore. Hilarious when they listed Broccoli 714 and Bananas 31 back in 25' too. Their reputation fell off a cliff during this bear market. And Binance not listing $HYPE initially may go down as one of crypto’s great generational fumbles (eventually they listed perps though, but not spot). CZ's stubbornness was the start of their downfall.
Interesting how irrelevant Binance has become to the crypto trenches. None of the major runners are listed on Binance and all price discovery happens onchain. And perp dexes taking their perp volumes too. Plus, tokenized stock meta requires licenses and regulations that Binance lacks so their regulatory arbitrage isn’t paying off in this meta. CEXs are mostly good for fiat onramp/offramp. But even for this Binance isn’t an option in the US and the EU.

Literally, 1 min after this post Binance listed $HYPE spot. Haha, so random.

Wow, this is massive. 32% of the supply is airdropped at TGE, and 100% of the revenue is used for buybacks. Inspiration from Hyperliquid. This will cook. If I am not mistaken it means that a $3b FDV is approx. $100 per point.

We're in a bull market, and in fact, I think both scenarios here are quite likely: - $HYPE will hit $120 before Dec 31st - $HYPE will hit $75 before Dec 31st There will be pullbacks, and big price movements in general. With that said, I am absolutely not bearish Hyperliquid. I just think we can get flash dips that are for buying.

Now that we have a dip, it should be pretty comfortable to add to coins that have already proven themselves to be a winner this cycle: $HYPE, $LIT, $ZEC, $PUMP, $NEAR, $TAO. Lately also relative strength in $DRV, $ENA, $VVV, $ZAMA I still also think we will see runs in $CHIP, $MEGA, $MON, and $XPL. Ngl, I feel like there's a lot of interesting stuff going forward.
This is easiest crypto bull market ever IF the high rev token meta continues. You don't need to chase every narrative or even read much of CT. Just open DefiLlama, Blockworks etc. and find projects with: 1. High and growing revenue 2. Revenue actually reaching token holders through payouts or buybacks 3. Low market cap relative to that holder revenue and don't forget about emissions and unlocks too. Then buy and hold. Simple. Sell when the valuation gets too far ahead of realistic future revenue, or the thesis (protocol) breaks. And you can ask your AI agent to run this due diligence weekly. Ok, maybe the harder part is estimating future fees. But if you believe BTC will continue to pump, more speculation WILL lead to more trading volumes and fees. So we need to add forward looking valuations which could make tokens relatively cheaper for future fees. $HYPE, $LIT, $PUMP etc. look like very simple trades in retrospect. So now we need to find newer emerging protocols with high rev but that are undervalued by the market. Finally, AI agents could keep recommending the same few tokens to all of us. Thus concentrating 1) attention and 2) money into assets that fit the criteria and helping them pump further. Simplest meta ever. Right?

Nasdaq just made Pyth an official distributor of Nasdaq Basic. Real-time US equity quotes and trades, including official open and close, now flow through the Pyth Data Marketplace. US equities trade on Pyth 24/5, including overnight. Pyth Indices keep running 24/7 when cash markets close. Same Nasdaq product. Same licence. New distribution channel. IMO, this is Pyth becoming the pipe data owners use to reach trading apps and on-chain markets.

Is it safe to invest in crypto? No, nothing is 100% safe. But most people play life on defense mode all their life. They take few to no risks, and live a comfy but not very stimulating life. Ask yourself what you dream about doing in life, and make a plan. You should probably not quit your job today and go all-in on a shitcoin in the hope to get rich quickly. But if you make a long-term plan and work for it daily, there are good odds that you will eventually reach your goals. Ask yourself why the people you look up to on CT made it, and why you haven't yet? You can blame luck, but in the end, there's always a lot of hard work behind most people's success. And if you fail, you can always go back to where you were, and you can tell people that you at least tried to follow your dreams. Which is f*cking admirable IMO. Take that risk.

I now hold spot $ZEC because of this anon cat: $ZCAT Every day it is paying out dividends in the form of $ZEC. If you think about it, memeshave become a distribution channel for assets, effectively serving as free, community-driven marketing. What's fun is that around 38,000 wallets received their first-ever ZEC through Stonk memes, and $ZEC on Solana now has roughly 110,000 total holders.
