We need more people like Dr David Ogbueli in the body of Christ.
I totally agree with this.
Apostle Michael Orokpo cancelled the ordination of pastors and apostles after receiving counsel from Dr. David Ogbueli.
I have listened carefully to what Dr. Ogbueli said, and I totally agree with the counsel. If we continue ordaining people into ministry without proper scrutiny and accountability, we may create a serious problem for the African Church in the years to come.
There is also something important we can learn from Apostle Michael Orokpo: the humility to receive correction and counsel from another man of God. Not every leader is willing to pause, listen and reconsider a decision.
Dr. David Ogbueli has previously shared a very important counsel: before laying hands on someone for ordination, the spouse should be given an opportunity to write about the person. Why? Because we should not lay hands on someone and publicly affirm them into ministry only to discover later that there are serious issues hidden in their private life.
He has also counselled that churches should publicly announce an upcoming ordination and give people an opportunity to raise legitimate concerns or objections before the person is ordained.
I totally agree with this.
With the growing number of young people desiring to be ordained into ministry, we must become more careful, more prayerful and more thorough in our discernment.
Ordination is not simply a title. It is a public recognition of a calling, character and responsibility.
We cannot afford to lay hands on everyone who desires a title.
The Church must learn to examine character, family life, accountability, doctrine and fruit before publicly commissioning people into ministry.
May God give our spiritual leaders wisdom, courage and discernment.

NO! Let’s call a spade a spade & stop this woke sensationalism…
Tithe should go to the widows, people in need and the work of the kingdom through the church blessing you consistently.
Infact, tithe isn’t just 10% of your net income but the first 10% of your net income. Before God, these 2 are totally different.
If you give it directly to your neighbour, it becomes a gift, which of course is a good thing & you will be blessed for it as long as you don’t publicize it for the praise of men. Do it in secret and let God bless you openly.
