Hours required to earn a basic living on minimum wage:
Japan: ~11 hours
UK: ~23 hours
France: ~26 hours
Australia: ~32 hours
Germany: ~37 hours
Canada: ~44 hours
United States: ~90 hours
The federal minimum wage is still $7.25 an hour.
If you need anything close to 90 hours a week just to get above the poverty line, something is seriously broken.
And people still wonder why so many Americans are working multiple jobs.
