man, as someone who studied folklore, practices witchcraft, and grew up in appalachia—some of you are so wildly disrespectful of folklore and spiritual practices. i do a lot of streams watching “haunted” media or spooky horror videos and the number of times i’ve had to respectfully explain appalachian, native, or even Fae/aes sídhe folklore to someone treating it like a joke or calling it stupid is too many damn times. the total disregard for the history and importance of folklore to cultures all around the world is disappointing..
