As of 7 October 2026, PTI’s current protest/long-march demands have evolved from the earlier single focus on Imran Khan’s release. The latest seven-point demands presented during the October 2026 talks are:
Regular political dialogue — Meetings between the Prime Minister and opposition leaders from both houses of Parliament on political, constitutional, legal and national issues, with progress within two months.
Joint negotiating committee — A committee involving the federal government, PPP and opposition parties to continuously address political disputes and recommend solutions.
Rights of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi — Full legal, constitutional, humanitarian and medical rights, including consideration of their nominated doctors' opinions where legally permitted.
Access to family and lawyers — Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi should be allowed meetings with family members, nominated lawyers and authorised associates according to prison rules.
Speedy legal proceedings and release of prisoners — Appeals and petitions involving Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi and other prisoners, particularly women, elderly and sick inmates, should be dealt with according to law, with early humanitarian release of women political prisoners.
KP security and terrorism — Federal and KP governments should hold continuous consultations and urgently develop a joint strategy for counterterrorism and peace in KP.
Written government guarantee — PTI wants a written commitment from the federal government guaranteeing implementation of the agreed measures. Without such an assurance, PTI says it reserves the right to continue its peaceful protest/long march.
