Does today’s 22-0 loss hurt more or mean more than the Game 7 loss in rhr ALCS or how about the Alvarez homer off Robbie Ray in 2022? I could keep going. It’s a record loss in a regular season where they will lose at least 81 games. Which would you prefer to change. It’s all about perspective.

Lololol… literally an MLB record loss, but sure, go ahead and make a fool out of yourself throwing f-bombs at your readers to die on a 22-0 hill.

You’re spending an evening telling fans to fuck themselves all to try to hold water for a 22-0 loss and your best defense is because they’ve had more IMPORTANT losses? Hahahahaha. Yeah, no shit.

Nope. I don’t tell fans how to be fans I just don’t have to agree

Divish isn't wrong in that there have been losses worse due to importance. But taken at face value for an individual game, this was definitely one of the worst. And yeah, score was inflated due to Rivas pitching. Bottom line: team is bad. And Divish's take looks like a defense.

Defending who? They got their asses handed to them. But is it worse than Friday’s loss? Don’t you get it. I’m not a fan. I’m looking at it from a mathematical standpoint.

(wait how are we losing at least 81 games?)

If you only win 81 games

A position player gave up 9 runs in the 8th. Like who cares. The 0 is what concerns me.

I would take 50 22-0 losses every year for eternity if they could just make it to damn World Series

At the end of the day losing 22-0 or 4-3 shows the same in the win loss column. This isn’t their worst loss of the season.

Rivas has to go! 83.00 ERA it’s all his fault 9 runs in the 8th. We only needed 2 touchdowns until he came in. @Mariners

I love it when some loudmouth fan talks as if he/she represents all fans and is some kind of victim because they talked shit and you fired back. Why even follow you if they think they know better and can't/won't accept rational explanations or the reality of a situation?

To protect my sanity I have stopped caring about the Mariners this year. My only regret is this is Rick's last year and he has to watch this turd team night after night. (you and the others will get another bite at the apple next year).

I was there in 2022 for 18. Disappointed. I was there for Game 7 ALCS. This one hurt! 8 outs from the World Series. I was there last night in MKE. The pain was from laughing at what a bad game it was.

It’s also nice for the 30 and under fans to get a taste of what the true life long Mariners fan experience is about.

I would say it doesn’t hurt more but it’s more depressing. You have to have hope to hurt.

I was in the stands in 2022, didn’t have a voice for 3 days. Game 7 hurt as well. It’s the life of a Mariners fan. That’s it. They just continue to not deliver. Some great moments but in the end only team to never get there.

I have watched this team since it was formed, been to more games then most fans, and that was the worst game I have ever seen my team play, they have given up. Julio said it best, the WBC was more important than the WS to him. They are losers and need to be disbanded.

22-0, 1-0 still counts as 1 loss

The Felix Hernadez "night court" game against the A's where Rodney walked the bases loaded and walked in the winning run. I was there and it broke me.

You should be asking them tough questions rather than stick up for them at this point.

Fans are just pissed off so they’re gonna look at anything and try to make an argument out of it because they need to put their negativity somewhere, I understand being pissed off, but this is not the worse loss in marriage history

This loss hurts more, because the Game 7 ALCS loss proved Dan Wilson was unqualified to manage a team and when the org didn't replace him, they set up this entire season.

Of course a playoff loss would hurt more, but that's not the point in all of this. The point is all the underlying issues this organization has and not dealing with.

It sucks and it's embarrassing but I see it as 13-0. You really going to care about Rivas 9 runs? Even if so, nowhere near as bad as those others. The Springer HR is the opposite of the Double. I was screaming at the TV not to pitch to him. That will never go away.

If the Mariners hadn’t thrown the season away, this game would have meant nothing. But it feels like a kick to the groin on top a a miserable season.

Position player pitched one inning and gave up 9 runs. The score is meaningless. Way over hyped.
