In Afghanistan, 2012, US Marine Lance Corporal Winder Perez took an RPG that punched through his thigh and stayed there, live, instead of detonating. An Army MEDEVAC crew that had been told they were picking up an injured child landed, saw the round still stuck in him, and voted to fly him anyway, even though hauling unexploded ordnance is against the rules. They made the careful run to FOB Edinburgh, where the rest of the base was held back and Navy Lt. Cmdr. James Gennari kept Perez breathing while Army EOD Staff Sgt. Ben Summerfield pulled the rocket free. Perez stayed conscious through it. When Perez was told what was in his leg, he said “Cool.” He survived.

🍕📚On October 1, 1984, Pizza Hut launched BOOK IT!, a reading program that rewarded kids who met monthly reading goals with a free Personal Pan Pizza. It started in Kansas schools and went nationwide in 1985. Who else was a proud BOOK IT! kid? 🍕

Pizza Hut used to feel like an event. Red cups, stained-glass lamps, checkered tablecloths, a steaming pan pizza, and that unmistakable smell when you walked in. It wasn’t fast food. It was Friday night.

“So your bar required masks until 2026?” “Yes, Dave.” “And you marketed only to lesbians?” “That’s right.” “So now you’re $50,000 in debt and you don’t even work at the bar anymore?” “Correct.” “So what is it you do now?” “I’m in clown college.”

Well look at this. March, 2021. CNN's Brian Stelter does a segment on if President Biden should remove Fox News from the White House Press Pool. Censorship for thee, just not for me.

In 1998, a 13-year-old girl was abducted and raped at knifepoint in Alicante, Spain. The rapist, 63-year old Antonio Cosme, was sentenced to 9 years in jail. 7 years later, in 2005, the victim's mother, MarĂa del Carmen GarcĂa, was waiting at a bus stop when she saw a man approaching. "How's your daughter doing?" the man asked with a smirk on his face. It was her daughter's rapist. Antonio was out on day release. Enraged by what had just happened, Maria ran to the nearest store, purchased 1.5 litres of gasoline, and walked into the bar that Antonio had just entered. She doused him head-to-toe with gasoline, lit him up, and stood back and calmly watched as her daughter's rapist burned alive in front of her eyes. Maria was sentenced to 9.5 years in jail for her act of revenge, but was released in 2018 after serving 5.5 years. Today, she lives freely in Spain after being reunited with her daughter.

September 12th is the day we lost Rone and Bub in Benghazi. They were brothers, and they were our brothers. They understood that you don’t leave your family behind. That is the legacy they left us. So today, don’t just say their names. Please do something real in their honor. Show up for someone who needs you. Protect someone who can’t protect themselves. Stand up when it’s hard. Speak up when staying silent would be easier. Have someone’s back when they’re not in the room. Go back for the person who gets left behind. And when your people need you, be there. They spent their final hours doing those things for others. The least we can do is carry that forward.

September 10, 2025, changed America’s history forever. One year ago, our founder, our leader, and our friend, Charlie Kirk, was assassinated while doing what he had devoted his life to: standing before young Americans and challenging them to think, to speak, and to have the courage to stand for what they believe. There are no words that can adequately describe what this past year has been like. We have had to learn how to carry on without the person who was at the center of everything we do. We have celebrated milestones that Charlie should have been here to celebrate. We have stood on stages where his voice should have been heard. We have watched his children grow without their father there to see it. And we have felt the weight of his absence in ways that never seem to get easier. For the people who knew and loved Charlie, September 10 will never simply be an anniversary. It is the day our lives were changed forever. Today, our hearts are especially with Erika, Charlie’s children, the Kirk family, and the countless people who loved him. No organization, movement, or mission can replace what was taken from them. We will never forget the unimaginable loss they continue to carry. But we also remember Charlie for how he lived. Charlie’s faith was at the center of who he was. He believed deeply in God and trusted that his life was guided by a meaningful purpose. Charlie’s faith in Christ was his armor, which no assassin could overcome. He believed in life everlasting, and it was this unshakable faith that gave him a courage that was impossible to miss. He was willing to walk into difficult rooms, have uncomfortable conversations, and stand firmly for what he believed because he wanted others to know the hope and truth he had in Jesus. Charlie died a martyr for Christ. Charlie believed America was worth fighting for, that young people could change the course of a nation, and that speech would only remain free if exercised. Always leading by example, he was fearless in the pursuit of truth—no matter the cost. No one taught this generation how to fight the good fight better than Charlie Kirk. Turning Point shares those beliefs and will never abandon them. Charlie never gave up, and neither will we. Turning Point will continue to grow and meet milestones that Charlie dreamed of. Today, we are not focused on the chapter numbers, the headlines, or the accomplishments. Today, we remember an incredible patriot, a husband, a father, and a man whose faith gave him the courage to spend his life serving a purpose he believed was bigger than himself. We miss him. We grieve him. And we will never forget him. One year later, Turning Point remains committed to carrying forward the work Charlie began. For Charlie. Always.

Does the legacy media *ever* use the term “far left”?
