Pre-2020ish, no one except SBA lenders even knew when a new SOP came out. We’d get it. Wouldn’t even open it for a day. Take a few days to read it. Talk to colleagues. Get training. Provide feedback to SBA. SBA would clean up some of the contradictions and unintended consequences that they may have overlooked. And then we would neatly roll it out to the public.

I started SBA Ray YouTube channel because of my passion for SBA lending and the fact that I saw so much “less-than-perfect” information about SBA 7(a) lending making it into your feed. Even today, I had to correct someone on a video he posted — and he’s one of the good ones.
