ALT Ric Kearbey Meteorologist Ric Kearbey is a meteorologist with more than 20 years of experience reporting on weather and climate issues. His work has been featured on Good Morning America, ABC’s World News Tonight and in major television markets including Sarasota, Tampa and St. Louis. He has also provided forecasts for major events, including the NFL’s Super Bowl, the PGA’s Masters Tournament and games for Major League Baseball’s St. Louis Cardinals. Kearbey has contributed to television, print and radio outlets nationwide, including the Tampa Bay Times. He is also an FAA-licensed drone pilot, using aerial technology to document Florida’s landscapes and produce visual stories about climate change. He earned a Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University and a B.S. in marketing from Southern Illinois University. He holds the Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society.

ALT Brad Robertson Venice Gondolier Brad Robertson leads the Advertising, Sales, Marketing and Events teams with oversight of market strategy for The Daily Sun (serving Englewood, North Port, and Punta Gorda), Venice Gondolier, Keys Citizen, The Florida Keys Free Press, and the Sun Weekly publications across Sarasota and Charlotte counties.

ALT In his role, Barr teaches earth space science, environmental science and oceanography at SCF Venice and online, serves as course coordinator and on college committees, and provides support for faculty and department operations. He is also involved with national science organizations and has helped lead efforts to expand the college’s natural science offerings. The system is one of the few in the Tampa Bay area, maintained by FAU and broadcasting live data on local atmospheric conditions that will be analyzed in the college’s science and mathematics classes. “This weather station is more than just a collection of instruments; it’s a gateway to discovery and learning,” Barr said. “For our science students, it provides invaluable hands-on experience. For the college and community, it offers real-time weather insights that can inform daily life and foster greater appreciation for the science of weather.”

ALT President Gregory is a native Floridian who served in the Air Force for 20 years and achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel before retiring in 2014. He is a senior executive with 30 years of experience leading teams, directing operations, and counseling fellow executives on legal matters. He is dedicated to public service and advocating for his community. He served in the Florida House of Representatives for three terms, lived and volunteered with his family in the Dominican Republic for a year, and has served on numerous local community boards. President Gregory earned a bachelor’s degree in economics with distinction from the Air Force Academy and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with honors from the University of Texas School of Law.
