The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation is providing UAH 8.6 million for a veterans' sports project led by Vadym Svyrydenko: the new Iron Warriors Petanque Arena in Kyiv, and a special vehicle for his team. The inclusive arena will give veterans with different injuries a permanent place to train, meet and compete. It is due to open this year.

After almost 24 years in energy, Ruslan now leads electrical equipment repairs at DTEK, helping tackle some of the hardest restoration work after Russian strikes. “Behind every result is the team we work with every day. You can’t do this alone.” - he says. Ruslan’s story is one of many behind Ukraine’s energy recovery, people whose experience, teamwork and persistence keep the system moving forward.

System Capital Management (SCM), Ukraine's largest private investor, is launching Invest in Ukraine — a call to Ukrainian and international businesses to invest in the country now. SCM makes this call by its own example: since the start of the full-scale war in 2022, and including the first half of 2026, SCM companies have invested UAH 168.5 billion ($4.3 billion) in Ukraine. @FCShakhtar_eng will carry the message on their shirts during this year's @ChampionsLeague

Almost 5,800 internally displaced Ukrainians have found work at DTEK Energy, part of our energy company @dtek_en , since February 2022. Around 550 of them joined in 2026. Most had no mining or energy experience. They trained on site at DTEK Academy, and the company helps them with housing and rent.

🇺🇦 Participants in the Among Your Own project held a family day in Dnipro, took part in sports activities and focused on post-traumatic growth 🧡 An event for the defenders of Mariupol and their families was held in Dnipro as part of the Among Your Own project. Around 30 participants had the opportunity to take part in sports activities and spend time together. The programme included football challenges, such as team relay races, as well as activities involving both children and adults. Everyone received gifts at the end of the competitions. A separate part of the programme focused on post-traumatic growth. An important lecture covered working with combat experience, the peer-to-peer principle, and ways of reframing past experiences as a resource for further adaptation and development. Among Your Own has been run by Shakhtar Social together with Rinat Akhmetov’s Heart of Azovstal project for the third consecutive year. Over this time, it has brought together a community of Mariupol defenders and their families, for whom regular meetings have provided an opportunity to stay connected, socialise, take part in sports and family activities, and remain close to people with similar experiences.

Ukrainian director Alisa Kovalenko will receive a $200,000 grant from our shareholder Rinat Akhmetov for the Oscar campaign of her documentary film "Traces" (Ukrainian: Сліди), Ukraine's national entry for the 99th @TheAcademy Awards. The film follows Ukrainian women who survived violence and torture during russia's war and found the strength to speak about it. The grant will help present it to the international film community.

russian attacks on the city of Odesa left more than 200,000 households without power overnight.   DTEK teams have reconnected more than 60,000 homes after DTEK power lines were damaged. Work continues to restore power for another 178,700.

At the @Economic_Forum_ , our Director of International and Investor Relations @jockmw said Ukraine's reconstruction is already happening. SCM companies have invested $4.3 billion since 2022, including $1 billion in rebuilding energy and industrial assets destroyed by russia. To attract more private capital, investors need a fast, donor-controlled investment fund, war risk insurance and continued legal reform anchored in EU standards. Stronger anti-corruption institutions will give investors confidence that money invested in Ukraine is safe.

In the early hours of 17 September, russia struck Zaporizhstal, part of our steel company @Metinvest_Group , with two ballistic missiles. This is the fourth attack in just over a month. There were no fatalities, while one employee was hospitalised. Seventeen ballistic missiles have been launched at the plant since August. We stand with our colleagues at Zaporizhstal and wish the injured employee a full recovery.

Today @vonderleyen told the European Parliament about ten-year-old Ukrainian gymnast Sasha Paskal and her "Dance of Freedom" world tour, which was supported by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
