OTD 100 years ago, Henry Ford announced the Ford five-day workweek! Henry Ford despised labor unions and did whatever he could to keep workers divided, including firing eight pro-union workers at the massive River Rouge plant which resulted in a 10-day wildcat strike that completely shut down the world's largest industrial complex.

Sexual harassment happens every day at fast food restaurants, but fast food corporations like Yum Yum Donuts turn the other way. Working people are standing together to demand an end to sexual harassment in the fast food industry! Corporations must adopt a zero tolerance policy and work with fast food workers to create a real enforcement plan that includes comprehensive, independent "Know Your Rights" training to empower workers to protect themselves.

Wage theft costs working people (and all of us) BILLIONS each year. Doordashers, or any worker, shouldn’t have to worry about getting cheated by an employer. Corporations like to say they care about their workers, but the fact that wage theft is the largest form of theft in America shows the exact opposite. That’s why gig workers are joining together to demand a union for a say in the workplace and to elect pro-worker candidates who will have our backs!
Since 2023, more than 200,000 Dashers in New York City were underpaid or paid late under the City’s delivery worker pay rules. These errors were unintentional, but that doesn’t make them acceptable. Dashers should be paid in full, on time, every time. We take full responsibility, and we’re deeply sorry.
We’ve reached a $131.5 million settlement with the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection. Every impacted Dasher will receive the amount they are owed, and they’ll be contacted directly with payment details.
We understand the impact of even one missed or late payment. We’ve addressed the issues that caused these errors and made changes to prevent them from happening again.
