SAN FRANCISCO FIRE DEPARTMENT — COMMUNITY MOMENT Today while at a training exercise event, a little girl dressed up in full firefighting regalia including sparkling red shoes, brand-new red fingernails, and a smile that would impress the best of us met Deputy Chief Brannan. Deputy Chief Brannan learned that it was her fifth birthday and her wish was to come to San Francisco all the way from Sacramento and see a firehouse. We did a little bit more than that and gave her a wonderful tour of Fire Station 4 in China Basin and some gifts from the Chief of the Department, Chief Brannan, Station 4, and the Guardians of the City. It is moments like this that inspire all of us and remind us that we are not individuals. We are community and as communities come together, we become more resilient not only in safety but in humanity. SAN FRANCISCO FIRE DEPARTMENT — INCIDENT RECAP — LAIDLEY STREET On 9/20/26 at 8:40 AM San Francisco Fire Department received multiple 911 calls reporting a structure fire at Laidley Street and Noa Street in San Francisco. Engine 26 was the first to arrive minutes after the initial 911 call and confirmed an active one alarm structure fire with flames and smoke visible from the third story window and roof. Firefighters were faced with obstacles such as steep and narrow divided one lane roadways, large trees, overhead wires and steep incline. San Francisco firefighters quickly and aggressively worked to contain this fire eventually keeping this fire from spreading to any adjoining buildings. This fire was quickly contained and placed under control in under an hour and a half from the initial call for service. This fire resulted in one minor injury of an occupant who did not require hospitalization. Three adults and one dog were displaced but declined Red Cross services. This fire is actively under investigation.

SAN FRANCISCO FIRE DEPARTMENT — UPDATE San Francisco firefighters are working aggressively to extinguish this one alarm structure fire affecting a three story single family home on Laidley Street in San Francisco. Firefighters have kept this fire from spreading to adjoining buildings. This is isolated to one structure. We currently have one injured occupant with minor injuries. This is an active scene. Please avoid the area.
