A belief system is only as good as the accuracy of its predictions. One experiment is better than 1000 expert opinions. Let people do stuff.

When you let your programs get pilfered by fraud, the people who actually need those programs are always the ones getting hurt.
Here it is. Great job @AJInvestigates . The homeless crisis and its money pilfering industrial complex and a direct link to the DHS housing fraud. They protect each other, the money keeps flowing, and innocent young people the programs were meant to help are literally tossed on the street. This is why we need audits and oversight and it’s also why audits and oversight got labeled “racist”. Are you seeing it yet?

"Every time we try to do clicks for Gaza, It's being intercepted by WARLORDS!"
A longtime Hamas member has been indicted by a Manhattan federal grand jury for raising over $1.75M from donors who believed they were giving humanitarian aid to people in Gaza, using Snapchat, Instagram and Telegram, and funneling the money to Hamas. nbcnews.com/news/crime-court…

Extending democracy from the ballot box to the rest of my life seems really bad. I don't look at the process that elected the US Congress, Trump, or Mamdani, and think "I need that process controlling more of my life."
Zohran Mamdani explains his definition of socialism to Theo Von: “Socialism to me means you’ll have whatever you need to live a dignified life and that it is the government’s job to deliver on that. When people say dignity we’re talking about the things that allow you to take a breath. Housing, childcare, public transit. No one should be priced out of these things. These are non-negotiables, you need these to live”

I got good news for you, when Microsoft went public it made 3 people billionaires, it also made 12,000 people millionaires that same day. So now that your ideology has been proven stupid & backwards, please go away
I'd rather have an economy that makes 1,000 millionaires than 1 billionaire.

1. Stole a car 2. Shoot up a neighborhood 3. Speed away 4. Die If these dummies could get to step 4 without endangering the public with steps 1-3, we'd all be better off.

All this means is that Waymo won’t expand to Minneapolis, which of course is the goal. Any safety argument is complete bunk, this is purely a defense of the status quo which incidentally is most progressive municipal governance these days
🚨BROKEN: The Minneapolis City Council … yesterday voted 7-4 in favor of a requirement for DRIVERLESS robotaxis to have: “a human monitor physically present within the driver’s seat of the vehicle and with immediate access to controls for steering, braking, and acceleration.”

Most Minnesotans with a halfway decent 401K own more than $10,000 in at least some of these blue chip stocks. Why is this a litmus test that anybody should take seriously?
Amazon. Uber. Exxon. Apple. Pfizer. All companies that are being sued by the State of Minnesota for unethical or illegal practices. Ron Schutz owns more than $10,000 in individual stock in each of them. Minnesotans deserve an AG who will protect the people, not his own profits.

Big problem here is they're protecting jobs, but no mention of an off ramp. If those jobs are under threat now, they will be tomorrow too. And while they're blocking AVs, more people are probably becoming Uber drivers.
another Minneapolis meeting on requiring humans to supervise autonomous ride share vehicles. started 9/29 1:30pm. its a continuance from the meeting last week so more people can do public comment. vote is next week. live stream link in next tweet 🧵

New signage at the LRT stations! Hopefully they'll do cool stuff with it, otherwise I'm not sure how it's better than the old signs.

In the old days, violent thugs would demand "protection" money from everyone lest something bad occur. But through the power of government, protection money is collected via taxes and sent directly to the thugs. This saves the time the thugs would have spent going door to door.
A newly discovered audit says Minneapolis’ violence interrupter program lacks oversight as the mayor proposes cutting millions from its funding. READ MORE at the link in bio.

Yeah, I know. I already got the letter from the Defense Manpower Data Center saying that my personal information has been leaked. They've been merging databases with sensitive info into less secure ones.
🚨 JUST IN: President Trump signs an executive order directing EVERY federal agency to immediately start folding into America.gov, creating one AI-powered front door for the entire U.S. government. ONE website to search for EVERYTHING from the federal government. No more bouncing between 47 different agency websites just to renew a passport or check a damn benefit. 47 is FINALLY bringing the federal government into the 21st century. Should've been done a LONG time ago! 🇺🇸

Absolutely backwards. STEM programs subsidize humanities via graduation requirements. Also, some of the funding for STEM professors and grad students comes from research grants. Maybe humanities get some too? I've never heard of it though.
Trump is basically going to cause a financial crisis for a lot of universities. It’s very very expensive to run STEM classes and these humanities majors basically subsidize STEM majors. Tuition is going to soar for universities.

Enforcing fares is one of the most pro-working-class things you can possibly do in a city. Everything downstream improves. Transit becomes safer, more reliable, and ultimately faster. Massive improvement in people’s daily lives who depend on transit to put food on the table.
Want to reduce crime on the subway? Enforce the fares. My latest for @WSJFreeEx

That's what it's doing. "Investment" implies a return. Bad investments are sometimes cut to free up money for more worthy investments. The taxpayer isn't a free money spigot. The government serves us and I expect some financial prudence.

The same people that were crying in 2024 that loans were predatory with no way of paying them back are now convinced that everyone with those degrees fully paid them off and became productive members of society.
Trump is banning students majoring in degrees that don’t make enough money from taking out college loans. Degrees for social work, art, religious studies, teaching aides, and music will be hit the hardest. trib.al/NmmAzhf

Everyone shut up about Gen Z, Millennial, Boomer, Generation X. Generations are fake, a branch of astrology invented by Strauss and Howe to sell books. There is only one generation: the human generation. Our differences are racial.
