Congratulations to this week’s Beaver Toyota Student of the Week, Charlie, a senior at Beachside High School! Charlie stays busy both in and out of the classroom. He serves as a Link Crew commissioner, co-founded the Future Engineers of America club, takes AICE and AP courses and participates in sports. He is also involved with American Sign Language (ASL) and enjoys sharing those skills by teaching ASL to kindergartners. Charlie is proud of earning all A’s while staying involved in so many activities. When asked what superpower he would choose, his answer says a lot about who he is - the ability to inspire others to reach their goals. Charlie hopes to one day visit Japan and says he wants to be remembered for his kindness and determination. Congratulations, Charlie! 👏🎉 We are so proud of you! Listen to his full interview starting today on Beach 105.5 FM in the 5 p.m. hour. Thank you to Beaver Toyota and Beach 105.5 FM for helping us celebrate our outstanding #SJCSD students!

Wards Creek Elementary School students have been busy raising money for their upcoming Color Run on October 7, with a special incentive along the way - if they reached $10,000, students earned the chance to SLIME their principal, Mr. Klein! The students hit that milestone, Mr. Klein was an amazing sport, and the Warriors kept going! To date, they’ve raised more than an astounding $23,000 to support their school! We are so proud of our Wards Creek Warriors and their families for the incredible support they’ve shown their school. Way to go, Warriors! 👏

What a great PBIS Contact Meeting! 🎉 Representatives from 12 schools came together to focus on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), including the important connection between positive school environments and student attendance. When students feel supported, connected and engaged at school, it can make a meaningful difference in their success. We also celebrated our 2026 PBIS Impact Award winners for the progress they made from the 2024-2025 school year to the 2025-2026 school year: 🏆 Osceola Elementary School - decreased both office discipline referrals and out-of-school suspensions. 🏆 St. Augustine High School - reduced out-of-school suspensions. 🏆 Sebastian Middle School - reduced out-of-school suspensions. Congratulations to these #SJCSD schools for their continued work to build positive school cultures and support student success! 👏 A special thank you to Texas Roadhouse St. Augustine for hosting the meeting, providing lunch and continuing to support our schools and students!

Investing in our schools, strengthening our future. 🚀 In 2024, St. Johns County voters renewed the half-cent sales tax and approved a millage increase, continuing vital support for our schools. As the largest employer in the county, competitive compensation remains key. Millage funding has provided salary supplements, while half-cent funding has supported the construction of multiple schools. Thank you, St. Johns County community, for voting YES and supporting our students and schools! ❤️ Learn more about millage and half-cent funding by visiting millagesuccess.com and halfcentsuccess.com.

⚾ Learning, teamwork, confidence, and fun on the field! Students at South Woods Elementary School recently had the opportunity to participate in a school-based baseball clinic with Walk Off Charities! Since 2017, school-based baseball clinics have been a cornerstone program for Walk Off Charities, helping introduce children to the game during the school day in a fun, structured, and educational environment. The program is designed to remove barriers to the sport while giving students an opportunity to develop skills, build confidence, practice teamwork, and experience some of the valuable life lessons that can be learned through baseball. We’re grateful to Walk Off Charities for expanding this program into #SJCSD and providing our South Woods Elementary School students with such a great experience! ⚾
