For example Uganda participated in Operation Sentinel, an INTERPOL coordinated cybercrime operation conducted across 19 African countries targeting business email compromise, digital extortion & ransomware. The operation resulted collectively in 574 arrests, recovery of about USD 3M, the take down of more than 6000 malicious links and the decryption of six ransomware variants.

As soon as a certificate is printed, an automatic notification is sent to the applicant including when to pick the certificate. Problem is some applicants use middlemen to apply for them, so as a matter of procedure,the notification is sent to the email that applied. And that’s how you might miss it. But we surely do notify.
Your system of police clearance certificate still needs some upgrade, the system should be able to notify the applicant that the certificate is ready for picking. How can someone waste transport to interpol, just to be told it's not yet ready

AFRIPOL will help with some transnational crimes that are unique to Africa e.g Cattle rustling. What started as a local crime between pastoralist communities grew into a whole network of brokers, transporters, financiers, illegal markets facilitating the movement of stolen animals across borders. The proceeds from the illegal trade are often used to purchase weapons and other illicit items.
Uganda, Kenya, South Sudan and Tanzania are most affected.
Individual countries have established Anti-stock theft units but the crime cuts across borders and needs a concerted effort.

Hey at @SKasingye , I have tried to generate a PRN on the uganda police force website to pay for a certificate of good conduct. This is after creating an account and activating it. Please note that I have tried and failed with 3 different emails.

Today i would like to introduce to you a body called AFRIPOL. @AfripolA The African Union mechanism for Police Cooperation. It was founded in 2014 and its legal status formalized in 2017 with its seat in Algiers.
It was established in an effort to find African solutions to African transnational crime by strengthening cooperation among African police services and improving Africa’s collective capacity to prevent and combat transnational crime.
Simply put, It’s our own INTERPOL for Africa.
