Your #SLMPD District 4 detectives are investigating a series of damaged fire hydrants.
Earlier today, the St. Louis Fire Department contacted the SLMPD after they located more than 40 fire hydrants that were intentionally damaged, making them incapable of attaching a fire hose. Since officers were notified, the SLMPD has been working closely with city partners to assess damage and ensure those responsible are held accountable.
The damaged fire hydrants were located in the Old North St. Louis neighborhood, Hyde Park and near North Riverfront.
We are asking that anyone with information call 314-444-2500 and ask to speak with a District 4 detective. We are also asking the public if they see anyone tampering with a fire hydrant, to call 911 immediately.

Brian Ramsey, 37, was last seen at the Greyhound Bus Station located at 430 S. 15th on September 10. He was last seen wearing blue jean shorts, red and black tennis shoes and a blue t-shirt with “Bud Light” written on the front. He is about 5'10" and 140 pounds. He did not arrive at his intended destination in Lexington, Kentucky.
