On Sept. 14, 2001, President George W. Bush addressed the congregation and the nation on the newly proclaimed National Day of Prayer and Remembrance shortly after 9/11. "This world He created is of moral design. Grief and tragedy and hatred are only for a time. Goodness, remembrance, and love have no end. And the Lord of Life holds all who die and all who mourn."
Visit the Bush Museum to relive this moment through a painting by President Bush from the "Remembering 9/11" collection, along with the speech cards used on that day, courtesy of @USNatArchives. The new collection and artifacts are now on display for a limited time.
