On this Memorial day, I'd like to remember my buddy Teodoro Torres from Las Vegas. T was killed by an IED while on mounted patrol in Al Hillah, Iraq on 5/5/2006. Miss ya, buddy!

August 16, 1940: Lt. William Ryder and 48 other knuckleheads in the 29th infantry regiment decided to jump from an airplane whilst in flight, paving the way for the modern paratrooper and the badassery that followed.
As a young PV2 on Fort Bragg, I was fortunate enough to land myself on the modern Parachute Test Directorate with some of the coolest cats in the business.
