Bucky McMillan with a long statement on Rylan Griffen’s case being dismissed yesterday:
“Was I surprised with what happened when I look across the country and our state that guys are getting the ruling that Rylan isn’t? Yeah I was shocked. All of us were there to support Rylan because we think Rylan, in the same situation as many others, should’ve gotten that injunction to play. It didn’t get denied, it just essentially got rained out and have to try again another day. We believe it will get resolved. Other guys around the country are playing with similar situations. The NCAA has made it clear that It’s A&M decision to play him or not. The NCAA lawyer mentioned that. So Rylan is a former player who played here who is trying to graduate and never entered the portal. He’s seeking a year here to graduate and play here. It’s the most cut and dry situation it can be. Everybody here at Texas A&M totally supports Rylan, and almost everybody in Brazos County supports Rylan too.”
