It was great to host this community safety event in partnership with the Parkhall Tenants & Residents Association last week. It provided a vital opportunity for residents to constructively engage with those responsible for community safety and policing in our area.
Parkhall residents join forces with safety agencies to tackle community concerns ift.tt/Et4O9bu

The Scottish Parliament has overwhelmingly voted to back Scotland's right to decide our future. Now it's time to turn that right into reality and ensure that people in Scotland can make their voices heard in a referendum. Westminster must not stand in the way of democracy.

We are helping children to flourish and parents to work. From August 2027, we will deliver breakfast clubs for children in primary schools across Scotland. New after school and holiday childcare for primary school children will also be available from August 2029.

We will open a free breakfast club for every primary school in Scotland from August next year. And by the end of this parliament, we will expand childcare support from 9 months old to the end of primary. Giving children the best start, while supporting parents into work.

I can say with great certainty that West Dunbartonshire is a better place as a result of their 35 years of dedication to mental health services. So I am delighted that the chamber has agreed with my request to mark the momentous occasion with a civic reception 💛
