As we near the end of summer, there's been lots of progress on cycleway development in London. The first here shows the Levelling-Up funded new cycle tracks outside Dagenham Heathway Station in @lbbdcouncil. Already good progress made and should be done by the end of the year!

- Forest Lane: first phase almost complete - Whipps Cross Road: under construction - Westfield Avenue: Basically complete - Harrow to Pinner Cycleway: nearing completion - C29 (Tolworth-Kingston): almost there (finally!) - C32 (Kingston-New Malden): continues devt

And there are many other smaller things that I haven't mentioned and projects that were completed earlier in the year/break ground soon. All of which to say, for everything bad going on right now, at least 2026 will have been a great year for cycleway development in London!

Work has started on Westbourne Terrace in @CityWestminster, the fourth project started by them in the last 6 months: - C43 (Hyde Pk-Marylebone) - C51 (Marylebone-St John’s Wood) - C63 (Cleveland St) Central London had a good 2025 and is set to have a good 2026 too!
