For some context, in 1996 5% of creatures were legends. In 2006 it was 8%. 2016 it was 9.3%. It's been increasing quickly over the past few years, but more than half of creatures being legends this year would be unbelievable a decade ago.
Doing research on Scryfall for a future episode and I realized:
There have been MORE new Legendary Creatures printed in 2026 than Non-Legendary Creatures.
I knew it was bad, but... damn.

Is this card not really good in Commander? Blow up each opponent's best thing for three mana is super efficient, even at sorcery speed.

Some sets are "shake up Standard" kind of sets, while others have little impact. I have high hopes that Reality Fracture is one of the "shake up Standard" sets. The more I dig into it, the better the set looks for constructed.

We have been contacted by Wizards of the Coast regarding this incident earlier this week and have shared our findings with them for further investigation.
Someone involved with the Pauper Format Panel is profiting from inside information, buying more than 250 copies of Baleful Strix, Vandalblast and Dispatch from our bots yesterday before the Zeta Set announcement. I can only imagine how many copies they bought elsewhere.
