Pantoja brings the highest level of BJJ Van has faced, however Van just had 5 rounds of experience vs Taira which should help him here. He showed great ability to get back to his feet, even after being full mounted. Van is one of the most composed fighters I’ve seen in a long time and the kid is only 24. My thinking here honestly is that Pantoja is sloppy on the feet, most of his striking on the feet is blitzing combinations, trying to close distance to work his grappling. Van is one of the best boxers in the UFC, and Pantoja has been in WARS. He gets hit A LOT. Pantoja has an iron chin, but I think Van can crack it and get a stoppage here. He was over in 12/18 games last year and his L5/7 to finish the season. Sean Payton called Bo Nix ability to run the football one of his “superpowers” in training camp this year. Bo has said he’s 100% healthy and ready to play his game. This game should be competitive and in their last matchup, Bo bashed them for 42 yards on the ground.
