The great irony of this is that if he'd wanted this badly enough he could've opted out after the 24-25 season and signed with the Knicks for the minimum then. He'd be $50 million poorer but he'd have the monster legacy bump of a Knicks ring.
LeBron says he planned to join the Knicks before they won:
“I had visions of playing in the Garden and finishing my career in the Garden... But after they beat San Antonio, I was like, 'Hey, I can't.'... I couldn't.”

Interesting that the Bucks are taking the "no comment" approach whereas the Clippers were far more aggressive in trying to defend themselves.

Makes sense for everyone, I think. Just get as much shooting around Matas and Caleb as possible. Clear runway for them. I hope Charlotte gives Dillingham a shot. I think that'd be an interesting landing spot for him. If they wind up waiving him, they've still saved some money.

Been advocating for awhile that there should just be one max. I'd just make it 30% across the board. It's wild to me that younger players can only get 25% while older ones can get 35% when players strongly tend to be more valuable in the first age bracket than the second.
I have less of an issue with the second apron existing & More that the NBA didn’t get rid of Max contracts and or percentage of the cap players can get based on years and some of those provisions.
If you are going to institute a hard cap, you gotta give teams a little more flexibility with how they want to move money around and pay players

It isn’t always practical to descend, either because the player is concerned about their max on an extension or because you as a team need to maximize short-term flexibility. If you can get a descending deal without paying more money, though, I’d usually advise a team to do so.
For team building purposes and taking into account the Pistons current cap sheet, would you rather a hypothetical Duren contract be ascending or descending

One of a few deep-cut March/April Wiz guys that felt like they could have an NBA future to me. He had some solid moments last year.
The New Orleans Pelicans are signing Julian Reese to a two-way deal, agents Yann Balikouzou and Kevin Bradbury of @LIFTSPORTSMNGMT told @hoopshype. Reese averaged 11.8 points, 10.5 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and shot 52.9% from the field in 13 games for the Wizards last season.
