Goku can’t (practically or safely) use Kaioken ×100 with Mastered/Perfected Ultra Instinct because the two techniques are fundamentally incompatible and the physical strain would likely kill him. Core ConflictsUltra Instinct (especially Mastered/Perfected) is a state of the gods where the body moves completely autonomously. It requires a clear, calm mind with no conscious interference or emotional turbulence—the body reacts purely on instinct at peak efficiency. Overusing it already drains stamina heavily and can damage the user. Kaioken is an active technique that multiplies power by forcing a massive, controlled surge of ki. It demands intense concentration and precise ki control, while putting extreme strain on the body (raised blood pressure, muscle stress, risk of permanent injury or death if the multiplier is too high for the user’s durability). King Kai emphasized this risk from the start. These principles clash directly: one requires releasing conscious control, the other requires exerting tight, straining control. Combining them would disrupt the autonomous nature of UI while overloading a body already operating at (or beyond) its efficient maximum. Why ×100 Specifically Is ExtremeKaioken ×100 is non-canon (it only appeared in the Lord Slug movie). Even canon high multipliers (like ×20 with Super Saiyan Blue in the anime) were risky and exhausting. On top of Mastered Ultra Instinct—which already maximizes power, speed, and reflexes far beyond simple multiplication—the additional strain would almost certainly cause catastrophic failure. Fans and discussions frequently note that even a low multiplier stacked on UI would be lethal. Comparison to Super Saiyan Blue KaiokenGoku could stack Kaioken on Super Saiyan Blue because Blue relies on calm, controlled god ki, which partially aligns with the concentration Kaioken needs (and reduces ki leakage). UI does not work the same way—its core requirement is the opposite of that focused control. Manga Context (True Ultra Instinct)In the manga, Goku later develops True Ultra Instinct, a personalized version that lets him incorporate Saiyan emotions and his natural fighting style rather than pure emotional detachment. This is more flexible for him, but it still doesn’t change the core physical and control conflict with Kaioken, and no such combination has appeared in canon. Bottom LineThere’s no official statement from Toriyama or Toyotaro forbidding it, but the lore of both techniques makes the combination either impossible to maintain or suicidally dangerous. UI already gives Goku near-perfect efficiency and reflexes without needing crude multipliers. Adding Kaioken ×100 would mostly just risk destroying his body for little practical gain In short: the techniques cancel each other’s requirements, and the body couldn’t handle the load.
